MEET THE OCs | Samos - The Harbinger

The (nervous) first installment of my Meet the OCs series! It was hard getting my thoughts together for this one, much less speak them eloquently enough, but I'd be happy if you like it even a little bit.

Step 1: Choose ONE character to send. You may send in more for different videos for more chances to be chosen, but only one original character will make the cut!
Step 2: Upload and tag me on TWITTER or INSTAGRAM! If you have neither, you may send me an email at canarywitch @ gmail!
Make sure the reference is CLEAR and legible, at least a half-body reference image is preferred.
Step 3: (optional, but helpful) A brief description of personality and other things you think I should keep in mind when drawing them is helpful. A link to a full bio is even more helpful!
I won't be choosing every entry, so please keep in mind, while you entering is greatly encouraged, not everyone will earn a spot on the video.

I take more pleasure in eating my own shoe than making Samos sad but!! You're right; it's so good for that character development. Having characters overcome that struggle is A GOOD FEEL though, haha! Thank you!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR KAI!!!!!!!! I have a feeling these two are going to be my favorites. Unless you have a sassy sarcastic character who acts like a jerk but really has a golden heart and loves to see people happy.

She's absolutely beautiful, you can just feel in the way you draw her and through her expressions and design that her heart is huge and warm. Her entire character just gives off so much beauty in multiple forms. I really hope you get to do this story some day, because it sounds amazing and absolutely something I would be obsessed with ;w;

This is so cool! Even though this is me first learning about this idea of yours, I genuinely hope you go through with it, because it's fantastic. I think it has all the right elements to make it interesting as whatever it becomes, and I personally can see myself obsessing over it 😂 It reminds me vaguely of ATLA and LOK for some reason? It's obviously very different in plot, but I just really like what I've seen in these characters, they're all very dynamic and diverse 😄

I actually sadly, haven't watch a whole lot of ATLA, but I MUST have unconsciously been inspired by it when it first came out a long time ago because you're so right! I'll have to take some time to go back and watch the series! :D

You inspire me so much! I’ve been trying to create a story for over a year now. I’ve tried to abandon it, because it’s become too unrealistic and had many loop holes in the plot. I had also wanted to turn it into a comic, or possibly an animation. But my art style didn’t, and still doesn’t satisfying demand. I’ve gained a small ounce of motivation to continue my art journey, which I’ve been struggling with, and continue to work out the details of my story to create the masterpiece I dream of.

ahh she's awesome! Her backstory is super interesting, I've never really seen main ocs that are the deity like beings - most of peoples own Gods, prophets and such are there for the characters to worship or have faith rather than actually be the being. Her visuals suit your art style so much, I'd love to do fanart but I wouldn't be able to do her justice aha ;v; It's really cool seeing people who have such an in depth lore and story surrounding their characters, I guess it's nice to relate lmao.

Thank you so much! I L O V E deep, ancient fantasy lore. I really did want to create from the prospective OF the one who is worshiped, but at the same time someone who incredibly human. Especially if that human is a child at the age where they're trying to find out where they belong in the world. I would adore all and any fanart of this bird, I would die over a drawing of a paper box with her name on it, if drawing Samos would bring you any happiness at all it would bring ME immense joy.Thank you so much for the kind message!
