He is finally a millionaire, all on humble taxpayers' backs. He could have been a billionaire by now by building a business empire as Trump has done. Besides the fact that he was a major player in backing the Iraq War that killed millions, never admitting that WMD was a lie, among other horrible stans such as removing the public option, he was quite a guy. When Al Gore chose him for VP, it was the reason why he lost. Lieberman was a miserable mean man. Where do you people get your info?

Thank you, Congressman Baker! I am an independent who leans left. I appreciate your comments today. We need to be working together and treating each other civilly to get through our problems. Unfortunately, the past president doesn’t adhere to those norms. He has caused a lot of problems in our democracy.

Truth. He makes himself visible to his constituents unlike anything on the GOP side of what South Carolina sends to Congress. He donates his personal money NOT ONLY to his Alma Mater SCSU, but to the other HBCUs and PWIs throughout the state as well. He keeps the citizens of SC aware of funding that he helps bring to our state for projects. The GOP members of our state like fraudulent Nance FAKE, I meant Mace are only good for showing up to these same ribbon-cutting ceremonies to take credit for these projects in her/their district(s) funded by monies Clyburn and the rest of the Dems helped President Biden secure - money that she and every other GOP hypocrite from South Carolina voted against. His work for South Carolina speaks for itself.

I do not understand why any members of Congress would not approve the funding Baltimore desperately needs to clear the bridge wreckage and re-open its port, a major source of revenue for the country. It looks like these Republican congress members refusing such support is because Baltimore is a "blue" city. If they do this to Baltimore, they will do this to any and all "blue" cities!

My favorite part is when Representative Bacon extolled the virtues of being a Christian, then said, "[the senate bill] didn't have a lot of bicameral support, at least on the republican side. Why is that? You have almost 30 billion dollars in humanitarian aide and there's not a lot of support for that amount of humanitarian aide going to Ukraine." ... "we think our role should be more military aid, because that's what we're good at." The irony hurts.

Only problem is these so called Americans don't think you have rights beyond their beliefs. When they have been treated fairly to be here all this time believing what they believe, among every human being who was here first, who came here and migrated - "most of us or our parents etc." And now they get big headed and know what is right for everyone. If they don't like America and feel they are better - then they need to move to another country or Island to dictate there. America is great with all of us if we abide by common sense rules and have patience and love for those less fortunate and those we disagree with.

I do believe in what Savannah Guthrie talked about, which is pretty standard orthodox Christianity: we live in a fallen world which explains the misery we all live with. But we are redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ. I believe in loving your neighbor and loving your enemy. I don't believe in judging others. I also believe in the scientific method, a 14 billion year old universe, evolution, global climate change due to anthropogenic warming, and a woman's right to make choices about her own body.

In what alternate reality? 71,000 Russian soldiers have died in Ukraine. If you think your Imaginary Friend has power over death, then those death aren't such a big deal. As a lifelong Detroit resident seeing what Democrats have done and are doing to my city for almost 39 years now I'm definitely a hardcore republican and while I don't agree with funding Ukraine or Israel or any other war that has absolutely anything to do with us I am all for loaning Baltimore that money at the very least to get that bridge back up. I hate that I have bills to pay or I would be on my way to volunteer my time and skills right now. All politics aside that event was a tragedy and people need to put their political views aside and come together for a minute. Both sides will be using this as a political token as usual but this ain't the time for it. Not having that bridge up is absolutely hurting everybody.

A real Christian meant something before Darwin published in 1859. Today, we live in the Age of Science. Kids spend time on computers, staring at screen. The con game of "Jesus rose from the dead on the third day" doesn't impress kids with a solid background in science. In 70 AD, Jesus was a copy of "Seven Labors of Hercules" going into the Underworld. The most popular hero in Greek and Roman mythology for 500 Years. Today, the story falls apart. A real Christian... is a joke.

Rep. James Clyburn noted that the U.S. has obligations to Israel that were already agreed to, and so I gathered he was saying that sending more military aid to them was part of that. A Reuters source said we send $3.8 billion to Israel annually. I think we should put some conditions on that aid for now, but he's right. I don't have a problem with Israel. I have a problem with Netanyahu. He is dead set against a two state solution.

America needs to sever ties with Israel. They provide no benefit to us other than olive oil, dates, and figs. All of which aren't worth sending 3.8 billion dollars annually to them just so we have a religious and military strategic location/ally in the Middle East. Israel's actions are a primary reason why there is instability in the Middle East.

I believe unborn children are human beings, but I'm fiercely pro-choice. Too many people think they're on God's side without wondering if God is on their side.

I started out really really disliking Kristen Welker and now I'm not as bothered. Sometimes I really dislike the conversational choices and separately the chosen content, but recently I have seen a better mix of both. I'm grateful for a program that I can stand watching without feeling nauseous.
