As part of the GR Cities project, we've had events Paris, London, Belin and Madrid... now as the #shootGR_Amsterdam hashtag had reached over 1000 uses it was time to meet with the GR Photographers there.
It was a great turnout with most of the photographers coming from nearby and some even traveled from UK, France and Germany!
To start things off, everyone was welcomed by Michel Sangers from Ricoh who also introduced a special guest from Japan; Masahiko Atsumi was with the GR project when the first film camera was launched. After that, we had presentations from ‪@NielsdeKemp‬ and ‪@mikemuizebelt‬ before Q&A session with ‪@SamuelStreetlife‬
Then it was time for light lunch before hitting the streets of Amsterdam for a photo walk. We explored the canals and waterways as well as taking in the sights and the city nuances. Here, it was great to get insight from the local photographers and also to hear their experiences with their cameras.
When everyone gathered back we had a quick catch-up and gave out some goodies before heading to Nivo Schweitzer who had kindly hosted a gallery display from the GR Photo Challenge 2022.
A huge thank you to all the photographers who made the effort to meet with us on the day, we highly value your feedback and are very happy that RICOH GR can be part of your photography journey.
