Ed is such a wonderful, kind and inspirational person who will always guide you through your journey. Upon graduation as a new Technologist from Radiology, he gave me my first job in 1990 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NY. He was my special advisor and everyone in the Radiology Dept. loved him. He used his supervisory skills to make the Department one of the best in NYC. Congratulations on your new establishment and wish you long life and many success.❤❤

Kudos to Mr. Asante, definitely a great man to emulate. I'm glad he mentioned stocks and investment. That's an option lot of Ghanaians abroad fail to look at. Myself I'm a foreign MD in the US and I've been into stocks for sometime as well. On the idea of setting up radiology centers, I am all for that. I hope we can share some ideas at any possible time. It would be nice to connect, Sir. Kudos👍🎉

Ed, more grease to your elbows😊 Kudos. I have been in the same shoe. I left working for the “people” (corporate world as a software engineer) since 2007. Now retired but working on my own since then. I am in Texas but hope to visit your restaurant when I am in your neck of the wood. I used to live in Massachusetts & familiar with the area. We have to develop the mindset to be our own boss. It’s not easy but achievable. I always turn down jobs if the price is not right. ❤✌🏿

Ghana is full of useless politicians. They have therefore rendered the country useless in so many aspects . I came to Ghana to work at Ridge Hospital and I saw so many foolish things…No respect and care for patients.

DJ, what he meant by tele-radiology was that even today after MRI's are done at *Quest Medical Imaging* - East Legon, they sometimes send the digital images to South Africa for further interpretation after the Ghanaian radiologist does a review. i.e. in the cases where the interpretation is not clear. The diagnostic imaging centres are in Ghana now and are improving care due to the availability of modern CT, MRI scanners today. This is allowing neurology to have more experience in Ghana today. The next one that Ghana has to get is the PET scanner.

Agree 100%. Mine started from my grandmother (on my mother’s side). My grandmother was an “illiterate” (I hate to use that word) aka did not read or write in any language. Yet she singly handed a legacy of 5 buildings be4 passed away in the early 70s. What did she do? She sold beads (Ahweneɛ) at Kumasi Central market & invested in properties (buildings). We all, generations after her are beneficiaries. I hope to do my part too.

DJ, folks in the UK can avail themselves of tax-free accounts for the stock market. None of your interviews from the UK has touched on it, they have the same investment options available to them as the US folks but.... The Canadians use a TFSA to invest in the stock market. He went into TESLA when it was $12, just take a look at the growth of that stock over time and there have been 2 stock splits over time.

Great interview. On the issue of if his wife was a Ghanaian, the marriage would have collapsed. I don’t entirely agree. You know, kudos to this man himself. Some men get money and start to think one woman is not enough for them. This man became focused and his wife never had to worry that her husband might be living immorally etc. He built this ‘wealthy empire’ with his wife and they have supported each other. That’s how it should be. So I will applaud him for being a level headed man. And applaud his wife for holding on well to such a man. They are both amazing.❤

They would’ve been divorced. That’s the fact. On the point of another man would’ve sought a second woman after the success, another woman would’ve also divorced for half of the man’s fortune.

@franciskwame7816Ай бұрын
Don't pretend like all the businessmen were innocent. Some were innocent, but a whole bunch were wicked and selfish like we are all witnessing in Ghana today. America wouldn't have been this great if politicians and businessmen were allowed to reap the system. Not saying Rawlings was a Saint but Gh at the time was not heaven either.
