Link is a war criminal in many regards and defeated the demon king, an effort that was made more successful than 6 of the most powerful being in the past thousands of years. Tauro is just some tomb stealer who happens to be 2 times Link's size and buffer, but probably can't even beat a bokoblin at best. Link at 4 years old probably could beat Tauro one on one. I think Link is the one Tauro has to worry about

A quick reminder that Yona’s first decision was to clean the statue of Link riding Sidon. She then proceeds to repair the traditional marriage proposal armor of the former Zora princess Mipha (her fiancé’s sister) who had a thing for Link. Yona is clearly ready to add Link to what she and Sidon have going on.

@@AnneIglesias not only.that but the Shika are kinda just thrown to the side in this game. Like their are no Shika back during the imprisoning war Purah is the only one that really had any direction impact. Impa helps you with the Geographs but still. Payah becomes their leader but is less important that their of them

I think it's because the Sheikah had such a big role in the previous game that they figured they should move them aside for the sake of the Zonai. I get that it can be frustrating since Paya is like... the only village head / leader figure that DOESN'T join in Link's adventure, but she was always a more passive person, not at all as action-oriented as grandma or even her aunt, so like... I kinda get why she's sidelined in favor of the action-people. They'd have to go back and rewrite her character in BotW to make her a viable party-member here.

@@kit76149 I wouldn't say "no character" since she has moved on from the very timid girl she used to be, took over as village chief and is now trying to stake a course for the Sheikah where they open up their village more to outsiders, studies archaeology and can actually carry a conversation with Link. That's a change from who she was in Breath of the Wild. What she DOES have absolutely zero of is effect on the plot, she's not really DOING anything unlike the other Sages who at least take a proactive attitude towards trying to solve the various crises befalling their communities. Still, you can have zero effect on the plot but still have character.

The first moment that Paya introduced Tauro to me, I initially had the "Oh no he's hot!" Squidward reaction. Then as I skipped through the rest of their dialogue, I started to glare daggers at Tauro, and I realized a song started playing in my head... It was the metal cover for The Noise's theme: Pumpin' Hot Stuff. It goes pretty hard. Then I put two & two together and was like, "Yep. If their relation deepens in anyway, I will go full Noid interference on him."

Yeah, Nintendo kind of screwed up in separating Link and Zelda in both BOTW games while pushing a relationship. You'd think Spirit Tracks but especially Skyward Sword would have taught them that a little time between the two would help sell it.
