Meeting the Wolves

3 жыл бұрынThe main reason for this trip was to get kissed by a Norwegian Wolf. The only place in the world offering this unique experience is the Polar Park outside of Bardu, Norway, which specializes in Nordic fauna. Under the watchful eye of the head keeper we enter the wolf enclosure and the encounter begins.

Why the wolf keepers let aslo tourists in to the wolves and even the wolves seem like they already trust and are friendly to other people who are strangers for the wolves?

The wolves are habituated to humans but there are a lot of rules because they are still wild animals. Only one small group gets to visit each day. The visit is timed so that it is not around their feeding time. Everyone has to wear the same black snow suit and no hats are allowed. There are specific places that you can touch the wolves. When the wolves approach, you have to be on your knees. You can't hold your hand above their heads.
