A small correction: around 10:40, the Beach Cards are not especially for where our camp is but for Gathering on the beach.

I saw the campaign for this but didn't think I needed the whole collector's version of this game. I didn't know how wrong I was until I saw the little crab meeple used for the first player token. Great video! I'd love more of these!

FWIW Chamois is pronounced "shamwah". The leather is very supple and soft, colloquially known as a "shammy". Back in the day everyone would have had a shammy to clean the windows with. I know you can still buy them but not sure if they are widely used any more. Thanks Colin, that was so much fun to watch along with. Winning the game must have boosted morale quite a bit! lol

I did not get the collector's edition of the game as I already owned (and upgraded) everything for the game, but I did get the book, which I love. Thanks for the play through, Colin!

I got rid of all the plastic minis and use the Robinson Crusoe upgraded meeples (x2) from Meeple Source instead. I bet they would look good on camera. I love those things. The minis never really made sense to me for this campaign. (I threw the minis into my Pirate Borg box instead, to use later.)

I really thought I would love this game, I love the theme, the look, the components. But it’s just WAY to hard. And that’s coming from someone who love LOTR LCG. Excited for the ply through tho because I do love the story it tells. Last time I played I died by getting mauled by a jaguar

Halfway through the video at the moment (I'll have to finish the rest after work) and absolutely enjoying so far. This is one of my favorite games, despite how brutal it can be. I have a burning question. As I own the base game and the two expansions... Is there any chance I can cover for what's new without having to buy the collectors edition?

Do you have to immediately convert discovery tokens into resources? It matters for perishable foods etc.

Did you receive 2 determination tokens when building the Snare? I ❤️ this playthrough. The pirates event decks are great. I wished I ordered them as well. For now I use the app as an alternative. Hope you will do another playthrough with one of the other decks. If I like them enough I'm gonna try to buy them somehow from Portal Games.

Which game did the gamer take with them on the desert island? I'd take a big box game and make a boat out of the box and sail away! lol So the obvious question is, what would be your desert island game, Colin...Bairnt's too if you read this comment.
