I'd love to see a Meg movie where the bad guys build a robo-Meg and then Jason Statham and The Meg have to team up to fight The Robo-Meg.

Before this movie, I believed the "science" the Marianas Trench is way less hospitable than Outer Space. I think Jason Stathen can help humankind immensely, swimming in space, to the moon and back. He's truly next level of human evolution, and perhaps Kryptonian.

This Meg franchise is going to be like 10-movies. People love shark attack films.

Jing Wu, the actor for the uncle, is the biggest action star in China now. He starred the 2 Wolf Warrior movies which the term is now used to describe China's hawkish diplomacy. That's why he got big part here.

Jason survived, and the Megs ate all those annoying people, that’s what happy ending this movie could’ve been.

The part where the shark jumped and said “it’s meggin time” was beyond cinematic perfection

Gotta love the end where they are all smiles and tossing back drinks, despite the fact that dozens or people were just eaten on that beach only moments before! There would be body parts washing up on that beach for weeks.

My favourite part is when Angry Joe asks his friends there thoughts. Then proceeds to just talk over them. Nice.

When Joe said the first movie came out in 2018 I was surprised. I honestly thought I remember seeing it within the past 3 years. The pandemic really fucked with time for me.

Wu Jing is currently the most famous action star in China, hired him for Meg 2 at least secure another sequel as I guarantee you this movie will make a ton of money in China😂 Tbh I wanna see this cheese fest going on for another 2-3 films until Jason retires.

Its a shame because the book this movie is based on is my favorite out of the ones I've read, Also a shame these movies are made PG-13, because let me tell you the books are ultra violent.

My criticism with the first one was "they should drop the serious stuff and embrace the cheese". Trailer made me think they did that. Thanks for saving me some money!

When you ask OJ about something first and his immediate reaction is "I hate it" then you know damn this must suck real bad.

After 2018, I have set my expectations low for almost everything. Games, movies, tv shows, whatever you name it. My mother and I went to see this movie and we had a lot of fun with it. We are big fans of dumb people getting eaten by sharks, monsters, and others. Just have to shut your brain off and not think about all the non-sensical science and logic jargon. I definitely enjoyed the under water scenes because it reminded me heavily of Subnautica which I am a massive fan of.

Those little Sloth house clips had me laughing. I think I'll better watch that :)

You guys ever consider the possibility that the first half hour of a movie, or the first two episodes of a series are actually written by writers, at which point the script is handed over to the AI, and that writes the rest. A lot of it sure looks like it.

This movie somehow made the megs feel like mehs. They were barely an inconvenience during the movie. There was human fighting stuff going on and every now and then its like oh yeah, theres also 3 megs just loose out there we should maybe do something.

It would make sense to have a Director's Cut version, one that isn't a China release, at least then you would get blood and the right amont of realistic gore that is obviously missing from this film. I really don't know why China refuses to allow film releases to show that kind of thing.

I missed the opening scenes, maybe 6-10 mins. I needed to buy a tix and a drink. Then, when I went on my movie house it was in a foreign language. I went out to see if the poster was correct. The staff saw me and looked at my tix. Correct, please go inside, I went and found my seat. I still had chuckles.

I’ve watched you guys through so many seasons in my life, over 10 years. You guys are easily some of the best reviews for entertainment on the internet period, plus it’s like hanging out with a childhood best friend every time!

Incorrect. You CAN free dive at pressure as long as you are also at that pressure. It's called saturation diving. Normally, the Abyssal trench would be freezing cold and that would be what kills you, however, they are in a hot zone with volcanic vents, I assume it would be fine.

What about when they jumped in the orange speed boats. Bad guys use their motor, Megs attack. Good guys are using paddles aft first but then when bad guys are killed, they turn on their motor and Megs are just like....go right ahead and go to Fun Island. We'll just follow the plot armor !

You should read the novels, they're really good, especially the 3 or 4. The books take the idea a lot more seriously, but then again the movies are very little like the books so there is that too.

I loved the film, it was dumb fun it was over the tiop it didnt have some bs message any diverse quota. They knew they just wanted to make a film that was entertaining with funny clichets and even easter eggs from the previous film like with the cute doggo. Easily watch this again over most films because it was fun.
