As a book person I laughed at the end. I don’t think I’ve taken a whiff of a new aquarium like that to say if I like the smell! But I know watching this build has me wondering if I’ll ever have a tank like this!

This is a fun build to watch since I recently started a 200x70x70 tank. I ordered custom LED lightning, didn't know how much I needed so I got 6 strips at 50w a piece. It is bright, but I still have all of them at 100%, 12h/day and no algea. I do have around 3-400 plants in it so that helps alot. I use one of them at 1% as a night light. More than that was way too bright.

Hey Tom you may want to add another eheim in future to bump up your flow. Even with low stocking you probably want to aim for the 3-3.5 x p/hr. Otherwise you will be doing too many w/c's. I ended up going with a couple dbl supercharged sponge filters behind some rocks which added around 100l/hr each. Loving the build bro. enjoy

@@NaturalAquaria Hey bud, yeah i did, i always watch ur clips all the way thru. That will aid in circulation of debris and probably get ur eheims working at best efficiency, the german way. Butt it doesnt really add to the l/hr turnover of the tank. Eheims are a little ambitious with their stats so i think it will do for now but i predict you may upgrade the flow in future. Discus guys tend to aim for over 5 x /hr. Time will tell tho, u never know. Love the titanium theme btw, grey granite rockwork would look amazing in this tank. Exciting

Hi Thomas, Regards to the heater positions where will you be placings them (how far apart)? Also, will you be using a background to hide the tubes, cable, etc.?

Get a heater guard I have seen fish stick to those metal heaters and fry they make plastic guards

Why don't you put the heaters all the way to the bottom, since heat will move up to the top? Is it because you feel the filters will rotate the temperatures ok? I put mine all the way on the bottom so I don't have to turn them off when I am doing a water change, with your setup, you will have to turn them off when doing a water change right?
