ctilas Yes it is! Fortunatly now in 21th century we don't have this kind of problem anymore... belive me I'm from Argentina I know what you are talking... TV signal was in PAL-N/M while all the AV was in NTSC , plus the 220v voltage we have here (america 110v), althroug we still have (globally) some problems with the voltages and/or adapters..

Can't find a USA rom for it
@Gregoriorar7 жыл бұрын
MoveitorLoseit2 Hi, this game only debuted in USA via Sega Channel, and there is no rom available of this service or megaman. If you want to play it in emulator you should use the European or Japanese rom. The asian version is called Rockman Mega World and is better because its run at 60hz while the other one called Megaman Willy's war runs at 50hz, this means that the game will run slowly and the FPS with the music will ve severely affected

Use the KEGA fusion emulator, then load the PAL ROM, and then set "Country" to "USA".

Honestly, out of all of the Mega Man games that I have ever played, The Wily Wars is definitely one of them. Also, I set the video to 1.25 speed and it actually seems closer to the NTSC speed. Not perfect, but better than the PAL refresh speed. I am grateful that the emulator that I used with this game played it at the NTSC rate.

@cubex55 Do you really believe Capcom initially had plans to release this compilation for the Super Nintendo as well, given the popularity of Super Mario All-Stars, which itself of course is a compilation of the first four 8-bit NES Super Mario games (the fourth is the Japanese SMB2, essentially just a continuation of SMB1, and is thus not to be confused with our version that was derived from Doki Doki Panic).

@deadlygroove1 Yeah, NES, and Genesis games this happened to a lot, Sonic the Hedgehog is another prime example. The PAL version has slower tempo-ed music, something about the TV refresh rate back in those days. These days games offer a 50MHz-60MHz option, so games run much better now.

Honestly guys, even though the music is slower, I honestly like it as much as it is in the original tempos. While the NTSC version's music is more rock&roll-ish, (haha, see what I did there? For those of you who are aware of the names in the Japanese version of Megaman will get it...) the PAL version sounds a lot groovier. I know I may be the only one who likes the music here, but I just wanted to say it. Although I do admit, some of the SFX were not on par with the ones in the original NES.

They did away with the foot holder glitch, but added more foot holders (there were 4 of them on the screen at once anyway) and those damn flying penguins are relentless they spawn a lot faster than the original 8 bit game. The hit detection on Ice Mans projectile was ASS!!! Next to impossible to jump between them like in the old game. Three shots and your dead.
