Inafune concluded, "I knew that if we had more time to polish it, we could do a lot of things better, make it a better game, but the company said that we needed to release it. The whole environment behind what went into the production of the game is what I least favored. Numbers one and two - I really wanted to make the games; I was so excited about them. Number three - it just turned very different."

I never realized when I first beat this, but the Wily stage1 in the Wily Tower game, did Keisha Cole sample that theme for "Can't Raise A Man?" at 1:16:46

@teckwerks I should clarify. I'm not saying the music in those stages are inherently bad. It just doesn't fit for me. It gives me mood dissonance everytime I play the Wily stages in MM3. MM2 Wliy stage music doesn't. I never said it was ordained by god. I just think it fits the context of the game better. In fact, the boss fight music during the Wily stages in MM3 is pretty epic, but it's undone by the fact that boss fight were way too easy. Sorry, I didn't think my opinion was so controversial

The default controls are completely backwards... jump and shoot should be switched around. Once you do that the game is much more playable. (Maybe something was lost in translation from Nintendo to Genesis?)

Actually the only MM game that was rushed was Mega Man 3. Keiji Inafune said " The team was forced to put Mega Man 3 on the market before they thought it was ready." Which is why he said MM3 was his least favorite of all the Mega man games.

1:19:58 Why is this music so very happy? It doesn't fit Dr. Wily at all. It makes the tower sound like a theme park. It doesn't make any sense!

This version of Mega Man more on the kid friendly side of things back in those days, in later Mega Man games like X, Legends, and so on, gets more serious and sometimes graphic. However, NT Warrior goes back to being kid friendly to compete with Pokemon in early 2000's when it was still a new, ongoing franchise to us. Mega Man wasn't gaining enough attention it deservers and that's why NT Warrior happened. Unfortunately, it wasn't a success like Legends and Power Up. There should have been sequels for those 2 games but I guess Crapcom decided not to do it as they knew Legends wasn't money worthy for them and the fact that hardly anyone gives a damn about Tron Bonne or any Mega Man girls, they figured they should stick with the classics and that's why they we keep getting more of the classics. X has way more games than the classic but now it seems like both Crapcom and the fans forgotten about it so I guess demand for X games as well as Legends and others got diminished! :(

Thankfully, we happened to get this game now because Mega Man officially returned thanks to his Smash Bros appearance and somebody new got hired for Crapcom to revive Mega Man for 11 and hopefully there will be more. According to Wikipedia, the new maker said that Mega Man has been long gone due to Ken leaving Crapcom for some reason and no one interested at the time to continue Mega Man until now so he must have been formerly a big fan who grew up with those games and he happened to be lucky for Crapcom to invite him as theres literally no one else who wanted to see Mega Man again since almost everyone are badly into indies, Mario and Sanik games, especially Pokemon, Donkey Kong, and as well as other overrated retros that were overtaking our new era. Keep in mind that the mobile app market are also another big issue here as it starts driving a lot of gamers away from home consoles. I hope this won't become a issue in the near future. I still love home consoles and I never been into mobile apps since I never have a phone myself anyway lmao XD

@stegst140 Well not really. I've played through this one and it was ok. Though it seems that this guy used US version in EU bios which would explain why this game is so much slower. Or he just had crappy recording tool.

HakuChan Yuuki you can, buy a repro on aliexpress for 4 dollars. Doesnt use paypal but it's own system is good too, as you only pay the seller when you get the product in good condition.

The biggest problem with Mega Man 3 compared to 2 was that Wily's Castle was way too easy. Not only that, but the music there sucked, too.

@teckwerks Are you serious? Listen to it? It's so dull. It doesn't hold a candle to Wily's Castle music in MM 2. That music pumps you up and makes you think "Yeah! Time to kick Wily's ass!" Wily's music in MM3 was like "Here we go again." I can't believe you would think they compare. That's not to say that all the music in MM3 sucked. The intro, Spark Man, Snake Man and Top Man stages had great music.
