Can't believe you never had a thai con before!! They're the QUEEN of giant plants. Mine is sizing up so fast, each leaf is 50% to 100% bigger than the previous one and the fenestration is coming in so fast!!

Thanks so much for this video. I wish I knew about Gabriella plants when I ordered my rubber tree because it came with thrips and I've never heard of thrips before. I had to cut the plant down so much... it was sad. I'm definitely going to buy a Thai in spring when they get some more! They way they ship plants is impressive!

The Hoya cumingiana more likely is a Hoya densifolia. These two are possibly very closely related and are often confused. Great to see your Hoya collection grow. H. fungii is a must have. Good luck with H. macgilivrayi. This Hoya doesn't like me, but at least it's alive.

What a nice haul! I love how some of the more uncommon plants have gotten more common and are available at decent prices. I finally found a P. gloriosum at Home Depot yesterday for $30 (Bay Area)! I actually have a Thai Constellation, but I bought one that was still in its agar pouch, it's doing well though after having it for several months. Congrats on your new plants!!

So crazy! I just picked up a Medinilla myriantha like 3 days ago. A local shop had them on discount cause no one wanted them. I figured I'd give it a try! It can beautifully sun stress too, mine is orange through the leaves right now.

My Mayoi is taking FOREVER to grow, got her about 3 months ago she’s still a baby.. can’t wait! Just got myself a big orchid cactus (jungle cacti) as well she is stunning!! This is such an exciting haul!!! Right up my alley, I’ve been seeing so many velvet leaf philos and anthuriums lately I was getting discouraged, not my fav My silver sword is taking forever too, I found it overgrown at a nursery so chopped and propped it, the top cutting is getting bigger, the bottom is taking it’s dang time lol and I’ve got grow lights everywhere and fertilize but the babies in my lil ikea greenhouse have been chillin in there a while, not really growing either, then my green Congo keeps growing past it’s moss pole every couple months! Neat how they’re all different I’d definitely big giving those new plants a shower after a few days, shine up those leaves I def don’t have a Thai constellation, I’m scared it’ll get root rot lol I’m not yet spending too much on plants cause I’m only a year in to being a plant mom. But another 100 plants have made it in my care so far, we’ll see how it goes. Checked out their website, the pricing is a lot different in most cases to what they are here in Canada! Great haul! Love the wende-imbe. I go fantasy shopping on Gabriella Plants about once a week and had seen that Philodendron and admired it. My space is limited so I prefer the clumping philodendrons. They are out of all the plants that I had been eyeing, so I didn't take advantage of their sale today. I think you got a reasonable deal with your Thai Constellation; you see them for less but GP does a good job. Interesting that a former king of Belgium was a Medinilla fancier.

That was a great price on the Thai Constellation! They're showing up in local stores (near Seattle) for that same price, but much smaller plants. Very curious about the Thaumatophyllum hybrid. And I love my mayoi--grows steadily and the more mature leaves are so cool 🖐️

I regret selling my Xanadu. It was soooo large. I also sold my 8” pot mayoi cuz it wouldn’t slow down. Idk if it’s the nature of this plant but it’s a very fast leaf grower so beware. Lol. The only plant I ever bought from this Gabriella is the dischidia ruscifolia variegated. It came already full and trailing. And I ❤ it!

small thai cons are so much more affordable now and i love it! i think the big ones will always be hundreds of dollars just because it takes so long to get them to that size (at least in 10"+ pots). you can find some really good sized ones in 6" pots for a great price though! just gotta know where to look.

You probably already know this but thaumatophyllum leaves are thinner than philodendron leaves and the spider mites will gravitate towards them!!

If you want some special Hoyas, try Steve’s Leaves in Texas. I am in SoCal and order from them all the time and have been for years. Great video!

Just the heads up I ordered to hoya from GP They were infested with flat Mites.. This was about a year ago It wasn't as widely known about them as it is now... They are naked to the human eye, but there was so much evidence of flock might damage. I used to order from them more frequently. That this was a pretty bad experience .. All three of the plants died quickly and I have been growing hoya for over 7 years there was no saving them. They were pretty weird about the situation... Whoever help me was anyways and i've never ordered again. I must see if Steve's leaves girl all the way. I've been shopping there so many years... They have impeccable customer service impeccable shipping impactable plants. And so much experience behind them. I recently moved to the East Coast, so I'm much further away. But the plants still came so beautiful.

They also seem to not know anything about flat mites. I do not know if they were doing that guarindeed pest free thing then, but as we all know, flat mites are harder to treat. A good news is your hoyas look pretty healthy. By the way the hoya fungi Gets huge leaves when it gets bigger.

I think if you do an unboxing video and plug a website or business you shouldn't insinuate there are pests on the plants that is very rude and the ppl you are representing in your video won't be able to use the video in a positive way 😬
