Mega Man 2 - Metal Man's Stage (Allan Zax remix)

This is a recreation of the "Metal Man's Stage" from the Nintendo NES game Mega Man 2 released by Capcom on 24 December 1988.
The original score was written by Takashi Tateishi and was very influential to me and my music.
Being a huge fan of the Mega Man series I often listen the OST of the games.
I now have the chance to give this favorite melody of mine a different spin in the Synthwave genre along with some nice nods to some popular tracks from that era.

Oh yes it's not an easy game for sure. I'm just talking relative to other levels which can be a bit more easier to complete (or maybe it's the fact that I played MM2 the least). :)

Well, I discovered that once you beat Metal Man's stage, using his weapon makes the game so much easier since you can throw his weapon in just about any direction. It's also not too terribly difficult to recharge it when you obtain power-ups for it. Of course, metal doesn't work against all enemies (especially when fighting Dr. Wily as the very last boss where you have to use Bubble Man's weapon against him since that's the only one that seems to work), but it definitely does make most of the game easier to get through. Anyway, thanks again, Allan, for the great music.

All the tracks are great. I really liked the series of tracks with strange, funny cubes that have eyes. There were also pyramids and camels. I was reminded of this mitsume ga tooru

Indeed - one of my goals with these remixes is to make these tunes sound like "real" industry-standard tracks and not be dismissed as "some blip-blop tunes from games" and so they could be enjoyed by people who are not fans of the series.
