it seems like we all grew up together :) I am 33 and have a 1.5 year old, living in Germany. I have a PS4 and a switch. PS4 being my preferred console, due to it's exclusives but I play Switch more often. I have the same issue of too much work and not enough time at home to play games. The most I play is my Switch on the bus/train to and from work. Since Munich doesn't seem to have much of an interest in pop culture, I always think what people around me must be thinking seeing me in a suit in a crowded train playing my switch. Since its the only game time i get most days i don't care about others. Due to this now I too think to myself that why don't they put every game to Switch, esp. all rpgs. I would have loved it if they port original Red Dead Redemption to switch before the launch of the sequel as I have never completed it.

I remember waiting in line for N64, Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, Gameboy Advance and XBOX 360. Fun memories.

Nvidia recently announced their new GPU lineup which uses hardware to create lighting/reflection tech. BFV was one of the headline games for it but the Gamescom demo ran at 1080p 60fps with it on (Probably a 4th the performance as with it off). They only had 2 weeks to implement it before the reveal but their engineers have been telling press that with more time they could make it run much better. That being said it's still probably to get away from RDR2 and CoD, especially with reports of CoD having 85% more pre-orders.

lol Old Scoop! Everybody having time management issues. I don't have time to play games during the week anymore. An exception is when a game I've been waiting for for a long time is released on a Tuesday. What I do is set apart Sundays for gaming only, with some Netflix in-between. I'm usually a bit hungover so I don't feel bad about hanging out on the couch all day :)

Streets of Rage 4! Come one the best side scrolling beat em ups of the 16 bit era (Genesis) period! Seriously that gaming news deservered more attention: Sega letting smaller (fan) teams release new takes/reboots: Sonic Mania, Wonderboy and now Streets of Rage, a good/fresh idea imo. Also it would be nice if Sega would get more love/recognition they used to go toe to toe with Nintendo with a lot of in house developped ip's and now just waiting to get uncovered. So many gems the new generation have never even heared of (and so it seems, not even the members of this episode's panel). Next stop Golden Axe!

Streets of Rage 2 & 3 were always some of my most favorite games. I'm glad they are making a part 4. I hope it comes to the Switch. That would be perfect for co op on the Switch using the stand.

I'm worried about Cyberpunk's length also. Like the guy that wrote in I played The Wild Hunt for hundreds of hours, including the expansions. I absolutely loved that game. I uncovered all the question marks in White Orchard, Velen, Novigrad, and Touissant (or however you spell it). I got most of them in Skellige just not all the areas in water. The reason I could do all of that though was because I had surgery on my back and was bed ridden for a couple months. Now I am not so sure I will be able to put the same amount of effort in Cyberpunk and can already feel myself getting depressed. As much as I liked The Wild Hunt being as long as it was, I kinda hope Cyberpunk is a bit more manageable.

Mother Russia Bleeds from Devolver Digital is the best beat 'em up since you guys are talking about modern beat 'em ups around 18:30 that's the current high bar for grimy, gritty bad assery and doesn't rely on Guardian Heroes-style RPG lite mechanics like Castle Crashers and Dragon's Crown do.

I believe Ray Tracer was the surfer in Re-Boot.

I'm retired in my mid 30's, all I do is chill and I still can't finish my backlog. Still finishing up my Wii, 360, and 3ds games! Too much anime, movies, tv shows, board games, conventions, android games, and playing newer xbox one, pc, and ps4 games.... it's a great problem. :-D

Great show, but I don't think Daemon should answer the question 'Is this on handheld?' with yes, when it is a mobile game. Handhelds are game dedicated platforms, while mobiles just happen to be able to play games. And the development for those two is different enough to see them as seperate platforms.

I'm with Tina. I'm grabbing games when they come out and getting a feel for them. Some of them grab me intensely, and even if they don't, I at least have my own thoughts on it. (Full disclosure: I do get some games for free because of the channel, so it's a bit cheaper for me than some people)
