➤ How I've made it this far in my career doing metal covers of video game songs and not doing a Mega Man X track is a mystery to me. But I can now sleep soundly knowing I hit up one of the best retro video game OST's of all time!
If I had to choose a song from the OST that's my favorite, it would probably be this one. It's so catchy and the chorus is so memorable to me. For this arrangement, I started with the concept of writing a metal riff around the main motif of the song which originally was just a baseline and a melody as two different instruments. I also changed some chords around in the chorus and of course, added in some shred where I could all around the track.
I hope you guys enjoy this cover as much as I enjoyed making it!

This game. Man. It hilds such an important part of me. Its what really secured me as a gamer. Its what made damn sure i had an appreciation for metal. It was so incredibly hard at the time, being in like 2nd grade. No internet for a walk-through guide of any sort. Even the hadoken was merely a legend back then. Thank you for giving life to such an important part of my youth, from someone whos going to be 35 in a month.

Shadøw X Whole X series ost is what we need. Legacy collection reminded me of how good the whole series was for sound. Even the sound of item pick ups meshes so well with the music. In X1 at least. But nothing can stand against the Final Countdown sound alike fake out in Infinity Mijinion's stage. Holy Fuck autocorrect actually let me spell that XD

I personally would like a hand drawn sprite version of MMX which would match the later official art as opposed to the original sprite style of the SNES version. The SNES spritework was beautiful for its time, but the proportions were a little off for my taste.

A lot told the remixes I've heard of it before seemed to miss some of the intricacies of this composition but this dude fuckin nails it. I've always felt a good guitar cover of this track would be great for a training montage and this cover proves my hypothesis. Keep up the great work.
