Here is a mega vlog. I wanted to get up to date before my weigh in so this is more than one week. It has what I ate to lose weight over several days so get a drink and settle in for a long chatty one.

Hi Julie, I. really enjoyed this long vlog. You are really smashing your calorie counting as well as doing so many workouts. I am aware that we only see a snapshot of your life but is seems that you have to do everything for everyone in your family, You take your son to work most days, do all the food shopping, cook every meal as well as work full time. You are indeed a superwoman. Thank you

Hi lovely. I am doing a Beachbody workout called 645 - it’s a mix of strength and cardio. I am loving it xx and yes Luna is very funny (stubborn like the rest of us in this house) 😂 xx

Hi Julie, I’m a little late, playing catch up again. You should be really proud of yourself being so committed to your exercise and calories, what app or programme do you follow for your strength and mobility training? So glad Luna is doing well ❤

I am always playing catch up. I am currently following a Beachbody (bodi as it’s now called) program called 645. It’s an unusual program as its focus is on mobility and strength rather than just strength. It’s hard and I have to modify it a lot. I mix it with peloton. But everything I have read says to avoid to much high intensity or cardio at peri/menpause stage so I am trying to do everything fairly low impact focusing on strength with a little cardio. It’s not always easy to fit it all in but my joints definitely like me doing it (mostly) I want to be as strong as I can as I think I will def need my hip replacing at some stage and I know from when my dad had his done his recovery was quicker than my mums but he had been exercising to keep the muscles strong before hand. @@JulieBuda Thanks Julie, I had remembered beach body from some time ago but new name had me thinking you were following something else. I will look into it, I think for me it will depend on how much it can be adjusted. Oh yes the menopause, I think we spoke about it some time ago. You are definitely doing the right thing, I went through it at the time they weren’t giving out HRT and (I could be wrong) but I blame that for all of my issues now. There is no arthritis in my family but I have it confirmed in both my knees and both hips (had one knee replaced at 55), pretty convinced it’s also in my hands. Like you I get shoulder issues, I read that can be a side effect of lack of estrogen and have just ordered some plant estrogen to try. When my knee was particularly bad I became quite sedentary and fast forward it has had a considerable impact on how my whole body now feels. So I’m now just trying to rebuild, which I have to do slowly as I find I now injure very easily. X

@@helenbull8101 I think that bodi/Beachbody may be too much with having your knees done etc. Would be diff if it was free but i wouldn’t want you to pay and then not be able to do it. I noticed the other day that the body coach has put some menopause workouts on KZfaq (or will be doing) that are low impact. I have to be careful with oestrogen as my sisters breast cancer was oestrogen positive and that’s why I am wary of hrt at the moment until I really need it. Xxx

@@JulieBuda Thank you, I think you are right and unfortunately I have other issues atm as well with back and have to be careful or I trigger sciatica. The issues I have could be connected to muscle weakness so I’m just doing physio strengthening and walking. Hopefully with everything you are doing and by taking the right supplements you will manage without HRT. Everyone is different, I have never had a hot flush for eg., you may sail through it. But If at any point you are struggling I know there are women menopause clinics so would suggest you go there for help and advice rather than the GP. Hope you have a lovely holiday xx

Only just found this reply. That’s good advice. It’s so hard to get into my GP and I am not sure they will be supportive. You definitely do not want to trigger sciatica. I think walking is very underrated and is a brilliant way to exercise xx
