It's time to pull all stops. Do you wonder why people say overdrive is so broken in this game and why I never used it? Well, wonder no more!
Boss list:
Hurricaune - 00:48
Hivolt - 01:28
Lurrere - 02:53
Leganchor - 03:23
Fistleo - 04:52
Flammole - 05:20
Purprill - 06:40
Protectos - 07:31
Serpent (Megaman Model W) - 09:03
Serpent (Final Form) - 10:16
If you know how to use Overdrives in this game they surpass even Model Ox in terms of sheer destructive power.
How broken Overdrive is? A counter-elemental attack deals high damage, an overdrive counter-elemental deals even more, not to mention every attack will gain a very generous damage boost alongside the element of your biometal. Combine those two against the right elements and the damage potential is HUGE.
The drawbacks is that the Biometal Gauge which will be burnt so fast you'll probably have next to nothing by the time you're done, also if you get damaged while having Overdrive active you'll lose it and each time you engage Overdrive you instantly lose 1 point of Biometal, so getting hit a lot will add up really fast;
The trick to use Overdrive at its fullest is to activate it, attack and then quickly deactivate while you're dodging the attacks.
As for non-elemental bosses I use Model X for to deal big amounts of damage quickly.
And one attack in particular is deemed TOO strong even without overdrive: Model Hx's Tornado. Seriously, watch the final boss and see how powerful that thing is when you use it as close as possible with overdrive on. It's no wonder they nerfed that thing to what it is in ZX Advent.
