It's cool how in this scene, Titan displays Metro Man's full potential as a real threat. Megamind thought it would be the same as usual with Metroman, displaying 1/3 of his power against him and putting him in jail, but he was so dead wrong.

Well if you want to get film theory involved, technically speaking, if we're talking about biologically speaking, megamind would be in the primate genus, and especially if, well, he uh, gets you know, around roxanne, usually that's a sign that he is probably close enough to Homo sapien that it doesn't make that much of a difference, he may be even more genetically related then neanderthal. In fact, Neanderthal and modern human were not that different, they in fact intermingled and had offspring together. That's why some people these days have a little bit of Neanderthal blood in them, because there was a time where people didn't care, and in fact, recent archaeological studies and findings have discovered that neanderthals were not less smart or less developed, no one knows why they're gone, there's different ideas, some believe that homo sapiens killed them all and considered them inferior, or there was something about their physical body that was less functional and then so they died off somehow, or perhaps they intermingled so much that there was no pure Neanderthal blood anymore, so therefore gone extinct, which is probably the best outcome ever, because that means no one really died, they just had children and there's no prejudice, which honestly that's the best way for a genome to get eradicated, through love, because genetics don't matter like that. All that being said, he probably has a similar genetic difference as of that, if not even less so, as for the most part, his physique resembles that of a modern Homo sapien except for the size of his cranial cavity. So in short, yes and no.

Now i want to talk about the briliance of the score 0:28 the motiff used here is the same as the main riff from zztop "bad to the bone". Adorned perfectly by the low wagner tubas and trombones. The same motiff is expanded at 0:45 onwards. Now if you watch carefully trough the whole move you will listen 0:28 "bad to the bone" motiff used in key moments as part of the main score. The guy who created the music was a genius

I would really like if there was something similar to megamind that came out nowadays, but that said villain who was alienated from everyone else due to being different, and end up nerdy and edgy, was a millennial. This film came out when Gen xers were in that place, the same place millennials are today, and I think as a millennial, it would be a lot of fun to have a completely different story but have a character like megamind but a millennial, belting out Linkin Park and daft punk
