Pinoe is a living legend. Love her insights about the youngsters. Im looking forward to seeing what Emma is gonna do with this iteration of the national team. We’ve seen so many iterations over the last 15 years and there were always ebbs and flows see 2008, 2011 failures. I think we’ve got to let go of comparisons to older teams and let these young people do their own thing. Its like Pinoe said, these young women are so damn talented, I cant wait to see what Emma builds them into. They are going to be a problem!

First of all, Sammy is crushing it as a podcaster. I definitely would love to see her on TV more! And Pinoe… like, one of a kind legend. A historical sports legend and activist. In 100 years looking back to this time, people will be talking about her actions and how she used her voice. What I love is that she is so open about her utilization of therapy and mental health to balance her journey, foster self-awareness, and develop her mindset and outlooks. She also never acts in isolation and brings people in close to consult. Values the village. Just such an amazing human. I would absolutely love to meet Pinoe and have dinner and just rap on life. Hope I get to meet this incredible human one day. Awesome interview!!!

Pinoe has been asked and explained so many times the reason she kneel, but haters were all “no matter what, she kneeled” also twisted and quoted her out of the contexts. Sad to see people are so lazy to check the fact and believe and spread all these lies. One of those things I admire about Pinoe is that she’s so brave and insist to fight for the inequalities.

Pinoe’s genius is her humility. It’s what people might never know about her if you just pinned her based off of her fame but wow she’s super wise and humble. Open. Stays curious. Always learning. This is what makes her so bad ass. I love her modeling this for others. You MUST be self aware and emotionally intelligent. You can’t plow through life and tough it out. Not sustainable

This was a good interview for Megan. I feel after the World Cup loss and her injury in the NWSL final last year she probably felt a bit jaded and I think that came off in her interactions with the press. She seems more clear headed and can see that even though the ending might not have been a fairy tale her career was amazing. She really impacted the world in a positive way and her efforts to give women in sports the deserved platform will live on for generations.

I think the major awards missing out of Pinoe were Ballon d’or and FIFA’s best player, reminded me how great the 2019 was, I agree with you 2019 was the best team I felt the sincerity of Pinoe said about Sam, I had tears in my eyes. Hello Sam. You cannot deny the determination, just in conversation. I can imagine Emma Hayes keeping Megan at a distance, to make sure it is her message getting heard, just because she would want to be seen to be the boss. From watching World Cup coverage elsewhere, I saw there are other opinions in US about the topics discussed, so interesting to hear this side too.

So much I agree with what Megan said the fact that the team is going to be different now it’s different players. The team was so much built around certain players who have now retired and yes there were other players but the core of the team was so stable that made a difference and that includes you Sam but I also think that because soccer and as I’m English hate calling it that has become so much more professional in Europe in fact in England we still have players who are on the national team who had to travel to the US to play professional soccer because in Europe it wasn’t like that when we became professional we were always going to improve so yes we obviously are catching the US

I want to know when Megan is running for office. Bill Bradley was one of the few liberals to move from sports to Congress. We need more! Then I got to the question. No, Megan, you're wrong. You've worked on political issues. We don't need more lawyers, especially not from the Ivy League. We need citizens who understand issues and you fit that bill.

Carli Lloyd really pointed the finger at players like Megan for the recent failures of the team, too many off the field shenanigans , lack of winning mentality because of the distractions like self promotions etc.. What did these two feel about those comments? I urge Megan to go and interview with Alexi Lalas and set him straight on why women need to be activist too...he seems to feel that has been the teams downfall. Sammy is a great interviewer .
