LOL. teterboro is in new jersey. also, if there is enough of a storm that logan is shut down, wouldn't the game be postponed, or at least significantly delayed???

Thanks for this interview. I've not been a big Naeher fan over the years. Nothing personal, but the Solo bar for USWNT keeper is very high (just like the Abby Striker bar is very high for a 9). This is the most I've heard her speak, so it good to hear her side of the stories and her thoughts and process for the position. Also, she doesn't strike me as "crazy" the same way keepers in the men's game are stereotypically perceived.

Hello Sam. Note to Emma. Becky in goal and Alyssa at nine. No delay, the Olympics depend on it.

Hello Sam. I cannot help but admire Alyssa as a goalkeeper and I listened to an interview she did with a channel local to her after the World Cup win. As an English listener it was really annoying that the interviewer pointed out, not the final, but just that save of the penalty. I really like how Steph Houghton, who just retired, kept playing despite her husband's illness and if anyone deserved to score the penalty and win a World Cup it was her. I also wished she would win the WSL again, but US fans will have been happy to see Emma win it with Chelsea. Steph's husband, also a footballer, teamed up with a rugby league player, Rob Burrow, to raise awareness of their illness. Rob, who I knew only through friends, died this weekend and I encourage anyone reading this to take a look at his story. There are many tributes on KZfaq.

Alyssa is right that Miracle on Ice game wasn’t the final game. They ended up beating Finland (just as difficult) to win gold. The Soviet Union team won Silver, but that is because the format wasn’t as we know now a playoffs.

OMG I was so happy to Alyssa’s sweet face when I opened KZfaq!! She is my favorite player and the reason I follow the NWSL. I’ve watched her on the national team with the other national team girls for so many years. Hoping she’s back on the pitch soon and doing big things. <3

Makes sense to assume the dutch woukd hold a grudge against the US because they lost 2019 world cup to the US. But i thought the Lineth Beerenstyn comment was stemming from the US attitude and players speaking in interviews that they were preparing to play in the final when the friendlies leading up to the world cup 2023 hasn't been all that impressive. The world perspective was that the US was arrogant to act like they had already made it to the final and talking about tactics against hypothetical opponents such as Germany. The US confidence they will play in the final did not coordinate with dominant performance. The struggle with Portugal did not make the US seem like this all powerful force that's going to blast everyone away especially. It would be cool if Lineth makes a guest appearance to clear up the controversy 😂

Since you were speaking of almost out of gas. I treat a half empty tank as empty and fill it as soon as possible. I never have to stress about running out of gas or having to find a gas station at the last moment because I'm on E. That's my good vibe for the day. Enjoying the channel.😉

28:05 football was growing in Europe. Barcelona Femeni was pulling in crowds. But Euro 2022 was in England and it captured the nation. It was ths first proper football tournament without any COVID restrictions and ir was huge. Plus also, the English women players are likeable, personable and really wanted to grow the sport whereas many of the US and Canadian female soccer players had tbis snobbish attitude of being above the fans and more interested in their personal interests rather than growing the game together. Thats why European women's football especially in England, Spain, etc have grown and stadiums are being filled out in the Euros and in the World Cup in 2023

21:45 one of the best Women's World Cup semifinal games I have ever seen. It was end to end. The US held on, Steph Houghton missed a penalty as well, Ellen White was narrowly offside for the second equaliser for England. And the US were brilliant in the first half, and that was without Megan Rapinoe starting.

Jill Scott is such a down to earth person. No other player will say, "You took my place, and rightfully so". She really uplifts everyone. And she also engages the host, Sam Mewis here, and ask her questions as well so the conversation feels more interactive

So many World Cup players should've played that didn't! I knew it was over when Vlatko didn't sub but one player in that first game. Lordt. Sanchez deserved so much better than what she got and even though I don't support NC (sorry Sam, sorry Ashley!), I'm glad to see Sanchez hitting her stride with that team. Go Pride! Go Bats! Go Bay! :-)
