I looked at some other videos of wing foiling and it looks like the trick is to learn how to ride the hydrofoil by just pumping without any wing or anything and then once you got that down the wing is supplemental, basically just lets you go faster and farther with less energy. Looks like a lot of them are using one hand too so they can maneuver the wing easier.

Nice to see you guys winging.. Tow behind the tender for a little bit, it will help you learn to control pitch on the foil. Then you'll be set when you try it with the wing! It is definitely a hard sport to dial in, but you're in the perfect place.

On the Discovery Channel 3 nights ago. For SHARK WEEK. They did a show about the pigs over there and how the local Bull Sharks have suddenly acquired a taste for those pigs.... The pigs like to swim at night to cool off and their stink and oily skin attracts the sharks right to the beach and boom....No more piggies.

Your board looks to small for learning to foil. You should be on 120 liters at least. This is your biggest problem. Your back foot should be located over the leading edge of the foil mast. Try to keep the board on the water at first by leaning hips to front of board. As you start picking up speed, shift your hips back and you will go up on foil. Do small moments on foil then lean hips forward, putting board back down. Progressively increase time on foil, then put board back down. Adjust you stance for best balance. While standing but not yet on foil, moving arms forward will make your board steer downwind, moving arms to rear of board will make you point upwind. That is how you steer before you are foiling. Keep your point of sail a beam reach to broad reach until foiling, then you can point upwind. Be careful not to lean forward with your butt sticking out. This can make you fall forward and onto the foil. I recommend dulling the tips of the foil with sandpaper block. A wetsuit is good protection as well.
