Join me as I give you a full tour of my garden! My little back yard slice of paradise! I will try to do one of these per month so that you can see how the garden changes over time and how it holds up in the winter months! I'm starting fall seeds this week. I'm going to be so sad when the summer garden comes to an end, but the fall garden is definitely underrated!

Just found your channel and I am enjoying all the videos - learning a lot as well. I did not think there was someone out there who gardens like I do (chaos gardening) and I’m so happy to have found your channel. My first year I stressed so much and my husband thought I was crazy. He kept telling me “plants want to grow” and to just “throw the seeds in the ground” and I kept arguing with him, spewing all the ‘rules’ I learned from garden KZfaq until I finally came to a couple of conclusions - one, I could not garden the way everyone else does because I was not a rule follower and it caused me more stress than pleasure. And two, he was right and now My entire yard/ garden is beautiful chaos. I do not follow any rules and I love it! I love finding surprises at every turn. And I love growing sweet potatoes at the base of my arches because the vines cover it so quickly and usually stay all season - most times, longer. So I really resonate with your magical squash trellis. Thank you for all the information and time you take making the videos. While I may not follow all the rules, I still like to learn and take in the information 😊

Landed on this vid after watching your video about SVB resistant squashes. I'm SO glad you live in the same state and deal with the same pest pressure/heat/humidity! I have a large garden and have been struggling for years with SVB! I loathe them AND Japanese beetles. Thank you for keeping me up to date with new varieties that grow well here in NC!

PawPaws on the edge where the water drains. If you have the soil for it. A few midwest universities have been developing methods of restoring them. They have been on this continent since humans were all using stone tools.

I’m excited to see what you do with the sloped corner! A bit late to the party, but a couple ideas would be pitcher plants (don’t know if these exactly fit site conditions) and I wanted to point you to Mellow Marsh Farm, located in NC, which specializes in natives for wetter areas

You can plant mushroom spores or you could also plant watercress in your dead zone area.

It may be the sun exposure on the other grapes. If they don’t get the same light it can bother the shadier side.

Hi - great video and love your garden! I’m a new subscriber and found you on Epic Gardening channel. I moved to Raleigh, NC in July 2021 from the Bay Area. I had a massive garden there and tried recreating here in a smaller garden but I found it difficult to grow anything as it gets so hot! Your channel is inspiring me to keep trying! For your dead zone, why not put the chicken coop there so they are shaded and stay cooler? Otherwise a pond if that area gets super flooded. Can’t wait for more content!!

We moved to NW GA in 2021 from NorCal after my husband retired from the Benicia Refinery. Nice to “see” another Bay Area person. We are about 10mi from the TN border and 10 from the AL border. Loving it here!

Your garden is amazing and so inspirational I started my garden in Ireland this year and its great seeing all of your plants thriving! For powdery mildew i put white vinegar dilluted with water in a spray bottle and spray the affected leaves and it really helps kill the mildew 😊
