How could MM claim to have a niece without having a sister🤷🏼‍♀️

I am wishing Samantha all the very best. I do think it’s clear her reputation was awful, especially in the beginning, I feel that awful opinion was taken from what Meghan was saying. It’s really only because Meghan has exposed her self as liar that we started to realise that perhaps she lied about her family.

I really hope that Meghan has to FINALLY has to tell the truth!!!

Win or lose, I just love the fact that M has to deal with this.

Meghan stated in Oprah interview that she didn't have siblings, not that she felt like she didn't have siblings, subtle but important point.

I was watching a video on a British channel and Lady Colin Campbell said she is supporting Samantha through this case. I wish Samantha all the best.

"I don't remember seeing her at my dad's house" suggests that Markle is employing the same selective memory approach that she used when the judge let her off with a slap on the wrist for perjury. You know how easy it is to forget all those things you already told Scobie and Oprah, especially when those trusted conspirators can be relied upon to keep their mouths shut to avoid digging themselves into a deeper hole.

Omid Scobie and his co-writer should be called to give depositions. Samantha's lawyer's should be able to question them about their sources for the book, and about their due diligence when using the information given before writing that book.

She will just lie under oath. Nuff said.

She's suing for in excess of 75k....the 75k is minimum so it could run into millions

I do hope Samantha is successful in her suit. She has experienced some pretty terrible effects from The Wife's lies. She's been literally stalked by some unhinged supporters, forcing her to change homes several times. The local police haven't been too interested in supporting her because of H's wife's statements. Samantha is unable to earn a living in her chosen field because of the damage caused to her reputation - and all of this is happening whilst she is wheelchair-bound due to her advanced MS. What is the most insane thing about all of this, is that the wife did all of these attacks against her sister deliberately and, imo, with malice. Rachel went out of her way to attack her sister, both privately and publicly, for no good reason. Samantha was in her life all throughout her childhood, supporting her and being a friend and sibling. It's completely bonkers, to borrow a moron's term, as to why these attacks were made against Samantha. There was no falling out, no argument, no reason for the wife to attack her sister. But she certainly has slagged off her family (all but her brother) multiple times, in print and in interviews. I certainly hope this suit destroys the Harkle's reputations, they both have gotten away with some pretty wretched behavior, without any penalties but with many, many ($) rewards. Lady C has stated that there are some heavy hitting legal minds helping behind the scenes, as there are many who want the wife punished for her terrible, no good, very bad conduct. I number among those who want to see the Harkle fall, she is a truly vile woman. Thanks for your analysis, it is always interesting and I love that you can provide a legal perspective to this insanity. Because the ex-royals act insanely. All of the time. But I guess that comes part and parcel in dealing with a narcissist and her stooge.

I think some will be dismissed but maybe a few will go on. Really, I think the point of the lawsuit is not to win, but to get Meghan on the record with some of her lies. Example: If she has to answer if the Archbishop of Canterbury married her 3 days before the wedding. Having to admit that she lied to Oprah in court would certainly hurt Meghan's credibility to her sugars.

I think it's about diversity jurisdiction - applicable when the parties are from different states, and the claim is for more than $75,000 - so as an excess of $75,000 it can be millions in the end. Good luck Samantha, I hope it will be interesting Courtroom Drama

AH got away with lying under oath in her case so why not MM? Seems there is no comeback, so it's OK. I doubt it will get to court, but hope it does, and Samantha wins.

I think people forget there's a BIG difference between justice and the law..... Unfortunately a lot of people are looking for justice... I for one don't have a lot of confidence in the outcome of this case and that it will deliver what I personally wish it would.

I highly doubt Samantha will get the satisfaction she desires. Even if deposed, Harry's wife is likely to obfuscate or 'misremember' as the past six years or so have shown. There is no reason to believe she would behave otherwise. The Montecito characters seem to be able to slither from any form of accountability for their words and deeds. I, for one, am not optimistic in this instance as well.

Samantha only needs relevant witnesses and proofs. Mediation is February 15th the case will go to trial. Samantha has powerful people behind her and will push for the case to go through trials. Americans courts is different. One of the biggest mistakes M made is failing to provide some documents. Will know on February 15th.

Samantha, may NOW be considered a public figure, but initially she wasn't when she sustained her damages. Even if Samantha doesn't win in a judicial court, she wins in the court of public opinion. Heck, if she can get Meghan to actually testify, that's already a win (just not the legal outcome we want).

I experience fraud from a violent ex-husband who used it to take some custody of my child. It was almost a physical damage to Samantha, her life at times was in danger by threats. The information written on the book had to come from Meagan Markle herself!

I've been wondering about who is supporting Samantha (behind the scenes) offering their money to get this to trial. But one thing that is not mentioned is that we do not know all the evidence that Samantha is presenting. Personally, I think that the case will proceed which is why MM team is worried. According to Lady C who is supporting Samantha, there is more that meets the eye. It is about time that some clips MM wings, and right now this is happening. People are starting to listen to Samantha telling the truth, rather than MM version, and the more they listen the more the tide will change.

They are very good but tend to focus on the strengths in Samantha's case and gloss over its challenges or weaknesses Your commentary provides a v solid basis to evaluate the litigation and gain insight into probable outcomes. I’m not a lawyer and I hope I’m wrong but Samantha’s case seems shaky to me. The things Rachel said with maybe one exception seemed to me to not be definitive statements so much as how she felt. I would love to see Samantha win her case, but it doesn’t seem to be a slam dunk on every charge.

I'm reasonably sure it was reported way back in the beginning with this type of lawsuit the minimum award is 75000, Sam keeps telling people that she has asked for an amount in excess of 75000, but no one seems to have heard.

I thought it was very interesting that the judge, in her order denying the motion to stay discovery, noted that certain of the claims were "ripe for dismissal". But that leaves certain claims "not ripe" for dismissal. But she did not limit discovery, which means that if she doesn't rule (argument is the 15th by zoom) SM gets discovery on all of the claims...

Okay, she have never seen her half sister come around her fathers house and she was an only child grown-up, but yet she claims she have a niece that she’s very “close to “did Her niece magically fall from the sky?

Surely the point is that the email was a private mail between Knauf and Meghan and Harry, and no one else - including Samantha - could know of it’s existence until it appeared as evidence in the UK case… So it wasn’t really ‘published’ (ie made public) until the court case. How could Samantha challenge it when it was private and unseen by any public source? Isn’t that a fair argument? Imho
