My son in law and daughter were in the same circles as many of the Toronto celebrities. My son-in-law was a major celebrity there, so I always laugh when Meghan goes on about the Toronto paparazzi which by the way does not exist. When they arrived in Toronto, they were warned away from Meghan Markle, and told that she was a social climber, and a user and liar. My daughter crossed paths with her a couple of times, and you are correct lady see that Meghan Markle was universally disliked in Toronto. From making fake calls of intruders to get attention to believing that she was so special that retailers should simply give her products, the D list actress made more than a few people dislike her. People far more important, with far more money, and far more cache wouldn’t give her the time of day.

I used to work with one and didn't even understand what the hell was going on or why she was how she was until I started listening to HG Tudor and then everything fell into place, I was sort of relieved because at least there was an explanation for the constant nastiness and extreme variations in moods within a few minutes, I ended up hating her.

I heard that someone from Sandhurst (I forgot his name) when asked about why Hairless was left out of the book, said that Harry broke the cardinal rule by discussing at such length in his book his time in the military. (I interpret that as Harry running his mouth about how many people he killed and how it was like chess pieces)....therefore he was omitted. I can certainly understand that. Harry's indiscretion caused a lot of trouble and even danger to the Royal Family and the entire Country. Once that happened I'm sure he was no longer considered an asset to Sandhurst or even the Military.

Seeing how Meghan’s Suits co workers don’t like her, I thought what a shame it is that an American marrying into the RF couldn’t be gracious and socially competent to introduce her theater friends to many influential and talented people in the UK. London is the heart of theater! However, one would have to been raised or learned how to graciously and generously help friends network with a higher group of people. Meghan was given a patronage of Theater ( sorry, I’m American, I don’t know the correct name for the charity), and it would have been a fine opportunity, when and where appropriate, to include some of her American actor friends. Financing and casting opportunities could have been made for small London plays, etc, not to mention friendships with creative theater people. Her actor friends’ lives would have expanded in so many ways. Meghan brings everyone down to her gutter level, everyone around her misses great opportunities and everyone gets a sour taste in their mouth. Harry chose the most unfitting wife for the job. I was surprised the RF allowed the marriage to occur and more surprised they agreed to pay for that lavish and ridiculous wedding. Greetings from Montecito to you and the fur babies.

What 'missed opportunities' for so many--in many categories (theater, general philanthropy, etc.) around the world! We 'were just not aware' that these two were 'this incapable' of using their positions and platforms for good. We were hoping for the best for them and for ourselves through them! They really could have enhanced the world if they had the ability to--but, sadly, they did not. Great commentary. I am an American and had read about the Post Office debacle. I'm flabbergasted by the way innocent were prosecuted / persecuted. Their integrity and dignity destroyed. It boggles the mind that such a thing could happen. But when look/think about what goes on today, it'sa history repeating itself. This has been going on 25 years. And I read 900 victims. One of them ran my local post office. He went on a protest march over it and died of a heart attack leaving his wife who had just given birth. Truly hirrendous!

The PO scandal is hideous. I first became aware of it years ago from a radio 4 series and could not believe it and the absolute horror but whenever I brought the subject up no one knew anything about it or seemed to understand the enormity or were even very interested. Thank goodness all these years later it took a television series to bring it to public awareness. Heads should roll over this. Nothing can ever compensate for what these people have been through. Lives destroyed and no one would listen. Yes - that woman should crawl under a stone, be stripped of her honour and her pension taken away. She must be heartless if not downright stupid. The company who provided the flawed technology also need to be held to account and fined heavily - discredited and made to pay. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever heard of and by a government body. Scandalous.

Since the Variety red carpet embarrassment when she wouldn't just get off the stage, she's sacked the assistant for embarrassing her by sheepishly trying to get her to shove off. Because of course she can't see, she embarrassed HERSELF. Her ridiculous grinning at the camera, along with the side-on pose was NAUSEATING. The thing that got rid of her was an awkward question and fumbled word salad about her kids. Otherwise she'd still be there and the headline would be "Markle doesn't attend the GG because she's still on the Variety red carpet posing and grinning at no-one in an empty building in the dark."

Dear Lady C, I loved when Gina Torres said...We Don't have her number....LMAO....Discrete but a dig at Meggsy..because she (or maybe her PR Team) have tried to make it appear that she and her former cast mates are good friends and stay in touch. So Gina made it clear to the world that it wasn't true. Also, I'm sure if they had wanted to get in touch with Megan they could have. They could have gotten in touch with her PR team I'm sure...so the fact they didn't say's volumes about how much they (Didn't) want her there. I've heard that the cast were really upset with Netflix as well and also part of the reason they didn't try to hard to get in touch with Meggsy. Apparently, Netflix in their print ad for Suits has a portrait of the cast only it has Meggsy front and center and the two men behind her then the other two women even further back. My Understanding is that this really ticked off the others, because Meggsy was NEVER the lead or main character. Actually she's listed like 9th in the cast list...and was a minor character....I know it may seem petty but these other people ARE the stars and to have an upstart thrust out there like that was a bit galling. Especially if it's true that she became an absolute Diva on the set...and there was even Gossip that was the reason they dumped her and it had nothing to do with her being with Harry.

Why does everyone say H was in the military for ten years? This is a decade that he gave up to active service? Can someone explain that? I don't recall him being away for ten years. Was it just on paper? Was he in and out in terms of active service? How much time did he actually see of active duty? Wasn't he called Bunker Harry because he seldom saw actual combat and mostly played video games on base? Saying he served ten years seems to be giving him an incredible amount of credit that he doesn't deserve.

Being in the military and being at war or on the front line is completely different. Sitting in a bunkervwith video games, still counted as being in the military, sitting at a desk, still counts. He disrespected his military, especially when his troop, which he was promoted to Captain, was suppose to attend a memorial for the soldiers who were killed by a bombing, Henry, decided that the Lion King premiere was more important, and that is part of his 10 years.

Lady C, vis a vis the Horizen system, it is a well known fact that due to errors in posting time reconciliation and roll back, unreconciled amounts were not properly investigated and reconciled correctly. Instead Fujitsu / post office contractors placed these balances in suspense accounts earning interest for the Post Office. The failure to post these amounts correctly resulted in the deficits appearing on individual sub-post office business accounts and caused this scandal. This was a well know and documented fault that no one wanted to deal with, either at the post office or at Fujitsu and the post masters and post mistresses (the little people) were used as scapegoats for systems failures, whilst the provider and the seniors at the post office got very rich and were rewarded with the highest recognition in the land! There should be a full investigation by the serious fraud office.

We, in Australia, had Robodebt, a method by which many innocent people were hit with debts THEY had to prove they didn't owe with a very short turnaround time in which to do so. These "debts" were backdated many years and a number of people ended their lives in despair. It was appalling and the government at the time simply said, "Too bad, so sad. Pay up or prove you don't owe us money." It is a blot on our pension system. Lives lost will never be recovered and no Minister whose portfolio it came under will be punished, nor the bureaucrats responsible for its implementation. The stories that came out about people being told to pay back debts they didn't have and didn't owe is evil and criminal.

As a citizen of the Commonwealth, looking from the outside, the post office issue does not just rest with the people who were in charge of the post offices at the time. Clearly there were judges who were prosecuting people for "wrongs" that were not properly investigated either. Needless to say this is appalling. I held the british court to a higher standard until i started paying attention since H & M ludicrous wins. But it makes me wonder what was happening with legal cases from the Commonwealth that were elevated to the Supreme Court. Were they decided based on facts, or is it the same kind of presumptive judgments that are handed down?

I don't often tear up at tv or films, but i was moved to tears several times in the Mr Bates and the Post Office. Such a wonderful cast and well done ITV for bringing it to pur attention and the enormity of the impact on people's lives. I knew a bit about it but it took this to make it really sink in. Those people will never truly recover. You missed out on one thing Lady C, that each of them were told they were the only one having problems. Absolutely shocking lies. If i have trusted staff and thier is a problem with accounts, i dont automatically think my staff has gone rogue, yet the Post Office think we are such fools we think it's ts highly likeky that 100s of people with no criminal record all went rougue around the same time.

And Internal Audit didn’t interrogate the operating system ie Horizon because they didn’t know how to challenge a computer system or how to follow a system of access control through a computer audit trail at Fujitsu , so instead, they instigated dawn raids on post office staff who were often asleep in their beds . As a retired auditor ( not post office I hasten to add ) I am appalled at this overall lack of control and common sense and we’ve been watching this unfold for TWO DECADES ! Imagine our frustration and horror at the prosecutions and the deaths that occurred because people in our profession who had taken the same exams as us and who should have been answerable to the board of directors and NOT the CEO’s of the Post Office , were instead trying to cover up for those CEO’s and protect their own jobs at the same time . We Internal Auditors should call for the stripping of the qualifications of those auditors who turned a blind eye to the obvious . As should the bodies who examine and appoint Chartered and Certified Accountants in the U.K. as most Internal Auditors are also qualified accountants .

Harry's time in Afghanistan can be reduced to mere weeks. He even slept through an attack on the base where he was securely bunkered down. He was also only a co-pilot and gunner after falling the full pilot test 2 or 3 times. So 10 years in the armed forces is a bit of a fudge since most of those 10 years were spent at home, donning his variety of regimental costumes for royal occasions, protected on all sides by the royal protection unit.

I live opposite a Post Office, which was run for many years by a lovely couple, who were pillars of our local community. They had a very lucky escape and came under suspicion. The postmaster told me his experience and how the various payments had come out their account at around 4am and that was how they made a lucky escape. I shudder to think what would have happened to them otherwise.

Good afternoon, Lady C, Mickey and Aurora. I have an observation and wonder if you could give me your thoughts please. I think one of the most telling aspect of the Golden Globe debacle is the reference to Sparry calling the Queen for money. I knew Americans were becoming more aware of the sharkle debacle but I was never sure if the true horror was on show on the other side of the pond. This for me confirms it is and seals the fate of the sharkles! Do you agree? They thought their abhorent actions on this side of the pond would have no impact on their greenback earning status in the US. How wrong they were. Could not happen to two more deserving individuals.

Finally they are bad enough and have misbehaved enough that those in Hollywood and LA no longer care to tiptoe around the two of them. I feel like the public statement of the Spotify exec calling them out for being f***ing grifters is what got the ball rolling, added to their nonstop desperate attempts to have and steal the spotlight while continuing to release whining books and trying to appear as victims.

Dear Lady C: Im Irish-American and my ancestors fought the British for independence. However, that was over 100 years ago and things have changed. I respect and admire the Royal Family very much and my interest was sparked because of Diana, whom I loved very much. I wanted to add that the problem with the United Nations is that the Woke conspiracy has crept in, as well as many Liberals and mixed opinions about Globalization, Global Warming, and anti-white agenda.

I know my dear, the older generation especially. My father will never care for the British. I am fully aware of everything going on. I have relatives in Donegal and Northern Ireland. But I don't want to hate anybody. And I firmly am against acts of terrorism against anybody. However I am firmly against Irelend taking in illegals. Ireland is too small and the illegals cause horrible problems. They are only coming to Ireland for the welfare benefits.

my dear my dear, over 200 years ago, you respect the royal family, who all advocate a clean environment and saving the planet, but global warming, ( if I may interject is happening, if you believe human causes or not) is somehow an anti-white agenda? that's nonsense, no one says the planet needs to be saved only for non white people. Also the United Nations by design is hindered by global powers, the United States is one, if they say no to something, that ends most discussions, and nothing is done.

I remember, here in New Zealand, hearing about this a few years ago and I could not understand why there seemed to be a media silence on the issue. There was more media and public outrage at that time, in response to the very elderly Lady Susan Hussey's asking a woman of colour where she came from, than there was to this horrific miscarriage of justice for many ordinary and good British citizens. I felt so sad to learn about the tragic circumstances of people's reputations being destroyed, the judgement they experienced from some family, and friends, resulting in overwhelming feelings of shame, abandonment, loneliness and despair, in some cases, driving people to take their own lives. Reimbursement is the least that is owed to these families on top of which must be massive financial compensation for what these families will need to rebuild their lives. The ongoing mental anguish alone for the victims and families of lost loved ones will be incalculable. Those families are owed the justice of being believed and the confirmation that their perpetrators will be held accountable in court. None of this will be enough for those whose loved ones are no longer here though.

I’m a Franco Brit, brought up in England and living in France for over 30 years. I went back 2 years ago and posted some costume jewellry to a friend for a birthday présent. Having been used to complete honesty from the PO when growing up, I had no misgivings about using their services. How very sad that we must now distrust everyone we meet. Yes, it was only costume jewellry but still.😢

Why is it that they now live full time in a foreign country and H is still Counselor of State? I don't understand. After observing H behavior over the past few years, the things he wrote in his book, why do the British not regard him as mentally unsound to ever occupy the position of king? He seems unhinged, and his allegiances seem to be grossly misplaced. The Queen always put country before family. The king should do the same. (Please don't mention my name) Thank you.

Lady C, during the kings travels, If the King gets stopped by the “stop oil” protesters on his road travels , maybe he can be inconvenienced enough like the rest of us and understand all the fossil fuels being burned while these people are protesting, I.e sitting on the roads and holding up traffic is a total oxymoron and a bad thing for the environment. The vast majority of us agree with protection of the environment, but these dimwits are making some people ignore the problem and focus on their stupid and destructive actions. the point of protest is to bring attention to a cause, stopping traffic is an inconvenience at best, it's not even the same of football fans causing riots, smashing windows, setting rubbish bins on fires or even toppling police cars, that's just exuberant hijinks! let's call out that hypocrisy!

Ambulances are unable to get through, and recently a man was unable to get through trying to take his daughter to hospital who was in dire need of medical attention. These stop oil people are complete morons. Oil is used in everything we use daily. And if all vehicles are electric, guess what has to be mined to power the electric batteries? Coal. And guess how bad the mining for all these batteries is for the environment? Look into it. Fossil fuels are most certainly not the problem.

Dear Lady C, I've been living in France since 2000, and I feel as though I would no longer recognise England as I knew it before, which in some respects is normal, but this situation with the Post Office has very much saddened me. I cannot imagine how abusive life seems to have become. I heard many stories about this scandal in the last couple of days and I really don't recognise the country I called home and which I still have family and roots. I really hope that something is done, yes we should help these people, but justice should be that the culprits and the people who assisted should more than contribute to remedy the grave errors they've comitted.

You don't have to be British to be appalled by what appears to be either wide spread fraud and theft or the most profound dereliction of duty with disastrous results. There certainly needs to be a deep level investigation to figure out who initiated the "software glitches" and who benefited from those "glitches".
