What is Junk Journal January?
#JunkJournalJanuary is a free month-long junk journaling challenge to inspire you to create in your art journal. Hosted by megjournals in collaboration with ⁠⁠‪@GetMessyArt‬, it’s a great chance to kickstart your creativity in 2024 with a supportive community and show up to your journal! Perfect for beginners or if you're looking for inspiration.

30 artists collaboration

I am following along, and it's helped shine a light on some of my technical (online) deficiencies haha. Had to ask for help to find the official list amongst the huge number of videos from so many people joining in! Clearly a very popular challenge. It's also helping me see how I can still react when something is stretching me, where I need to work on letting go of rule-based thinking or my own preconceptions. All good things to see this time of year! About to start on Day 5's prompt, after checking out a few more offerings on here. Thank you for the challenge.

I absolutely love this page. I forget to use staples, love the use of the envelope flap and also the little peep of the paper doiley. I definitely need to buy some nice pens and letter stamps. Thank you 🙏

You were also tucking a few scraps behind the envelope flap and tucking a scrap paper (green and flower folded piece) in the background. So many ways to interpret your prompts. Love participating.

I'm experimenting in my little A6 journal for this challenge and I'm so inspired by your way of creating. Glue stick and stapler are out and paper scraps in all colours and patterns. 😊
