WOW Megyn! That was the best informational, from the heart talk to young Women that I have ever heard ! All of these beautiful young minds hungry for real truth and direction that they can trust and believe. My two cents on the best book was finished in 1957 by the Greatest Philosopher since Aristotle, Aynn Rand. I've read it cover to cover 5 times ( already ). The name of the book is Atlas Shrugged.

I noticed the same thing. I didn't finish her speech. It was a masculine go to work message. As a homemaker, I did not resonate at all. This message was for my husband. I prefer him as captain of the ship... no pun intended.😊

Wow - the question from the girl with a down syndrome sibling really raised a good question..what about the female children or adults with learning disabilities, autism, down syndrome ? Many might not be able to handle encountering a man in the spaces they have been taught are to be solely reserved for women, like bathrooms or locker rooms- I am sure many had to be taught why these spaces are purposely made to be separate from men. It breaks my heart to think about it.......This point should be made by some of the hero's speaking up and who have the platform to raise the issue like Megyn or Riley Gaines

At about 5 minutes in Ms. Kelly told the ladies there that if they work hard and don't make excuses and accept responsibility, their lives will get infinitesimally better. What she meant is their lives will get infinitely better. Infinitesimally means that their lives will get better the least amount possible. So little in fact it won't be noticed. The word should have been infinitely better, which is actually true. That's a simple malaprop and it's used too often when people try to use words that are too big for their cute little mouths.

I don't think it was good to criticize the movement against birth control. The reality is that it does not feel good to be used and feel like a sexual object, even in a marriage. I would argue especially when you are married. Mature love does not stand on "lots of sex" and delaying children. Mature love is when a man can give you space and respect your body for the way it was created. I felt so much better when we ditched birth control and honored NFP. I feel important now that he became a man that protects and honors my body, never using it as a means just for pleasure. What a difference that makes in vulnerability and intimacy. Sadly, many couples miss out on this level of intimacy.

I agree. The only nugget I took away from this was take accountability and be the captain of your ship. The rest of it had a masculine tone that could be summed up as, "Roll up your sleeves. Get out there and work!" This message was definitely just for career minded women.

She encourages women to follow their dreams. If it’s to be a career woman- go for it. If it’s a mother staying home… go for that. That’s what she means by “Captain of YOUR Ship.” You choose your future.
