मेंहदी हसन साहिब की गायकी !!!!! दुनिया में कुछ शख्शियत ऐसी होती हैं जिनके सामने अल्फाज़ बोने लगने लगते हैं। बयां नहीं कर सकते उनको अल्फाजों में। खां साहिब भी ऐसी ही शख्शियत हैं। कमाल की गायकी !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! कमाल ऐसा जिसकी कोई लिमिट नहीं!!!!!!!!!!

This version sung in more of a Bhairavi style makes this ghazal's sadness come out far more than in its traditional version, which he sang so many other times. What a rare find! Thanks for uploading and sharing.

What is special with the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the fact that he had a rare GOD - GIFTED ability to render the tragic and romantic nuances of the URDU couplets with equal proficiency and with consummate ease ! Perhaps, that might have been the reason as to why he could unleash such epoch- making masterpieces at frequent interval ! --- Amarendra Borah, Former Commissioner and Secretary, Finance Department, Govt Of Assam (India).

@@amarendraborah6941 Borah sahab taqreeban maine mehdi sahab ki 150 ghazalen suni honge aur unke alag alag versions bhi aapko har jagah pata hu. Aap mehdi sahab ke asli prashansakon mai se hai. Aapke comment padh ke bada achha lagta hai.

کبھی کبھی میں سوچتا ہوں کہ لوگ پتہ نہیں کیا کیا سنتے رہتے ہیں اصل موسیقی تو یہ ہے واہ واہ لاجواب اور واقعی غزل گائیکی میں مہدی حسن سے کسی کا کوئی مقابلہ نہیں

Wah! Deadly combination of khan saheb and Ehsan Danish Zindagi beet rahi hai danish Aik bejurm saza ho jaise One can feel the pain and suffering in khan saheb's voice what Ehsan danish saheb went through in his life working as a laborer and was called ' Mazdoor Shayar ' by poets friends. Really a hurricane of raag rang and nobody can come even close to khan saheb when we talk about ghazal singing , god bless khan saheb and Ehsan danish saheb's souls and thanks for sharing

यूँ न मिल मुझसे ख़फ़ा हो जैसे साथ चल मौज-ए-सबा हो जैसे लोग यूँ देख के हँस देते हैं तू मुझे भूल गया हो जैसे हिचकियाँ रात को आतीं ही नहीं तूने फिर याद किया हो जैसे ऐसे अंजान बने बैठे हो तुमको कुछ भी न पता हो जैसे इश्क़ को शिर्क़ की हद तक न बढ़ा यूँ न छुप हमसे ख़ुदा हो जैसे मौत भी आई तो इस नाज़ के साथ मुझपे एहसान किया हो जैसे ज़िंदगी बीत रही है 'दानिश्' एक बे-ज़ुर्म सज़ा हो जैसे

Just mesmerizing! Every line of this song has different knot, and sang with so much heat that, I am just speechless. I have heard many Ustad’s ghazal. No one can come close to this legend Ustad Mehdi Hasan!

He remains the finest exponent of gazal gayaki in hindustani music format His calibre remains unmatched to this date Ultimately this heady combination of our हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय संगीत and our revered master musician मेहंदी साहेब लाजवाब !!! He is able to sing any gazal in different styles each time ...this was HIS skill!!!Respect you immensely sir🙏

The great Mehdi Hassan Saab originally hailed from 'LUNA,, a small hamlet of the district of 'JHUNJHUNU' in the Rajasthan( India), wherein sixteen generations of his family of traditional musicians( locally called 'Kalawant') lived ! Following the partition of the country in 1947, the great Mehdi Hassan Saab had migrated to Pakistan, along with his family wherein he lived until his sad demise in 2012 ! In view of the above, the great Mehdi Hassan Saab had represented a composite culture ! He was an Indian in as much as he was a Pakistani ! The great Khan Saab was the sinecure of all eyes of the people -- on both sides of the divide ! --- Amarendra Borah, Former Commissioner and Secretary, Finance Department, Govt Of Assam (India).

The great Khan Saab was the Brightest Jewel in the World of Ghazal Gayiki and infact, its Crowning Glory ! The great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the Ghazal Sensation of the Country and Beyond !
