Does your platform automatically locate shares for you to short or do you do that yourself on another screen? Just curious since I often run into the issue of hastily having to locate shares in time for the breakdown.

it's a CFD platform so no locates are needed.

Does this setup work the same way to the long side .. are insitutions gonna step aside and not buy or sell if the gap is greater than 3% generally speaking?

It’s extremely difficult to answer this because the markets are extremely volatile and changing over time
