One of the reasons why this theme is so epic is because it pulls a Coil and makes the Heavensward opening into a dungeon track. You can definitely hear 'Beneath the gazing stars' when this first starts up as well as the dravanian chanting. Penitus (Praetorium theme) had bits of Answers in it as well as Torn from the Heavens as a part of its theme, but Imagination just completely blows it away.

I know this is an old comment I'm responding to but When I first started playing this (right around the twilight days of Stormblood), this was the first song in the game that genuinely blew me away. I'd heard good music up until this point (though for some reason I seem to have slept on Penitus somehow which is weird because music is typically the first thing I notice in games). To this day I hold this dungeon very close to my heart because of this. Heavensward in general was when I started seeing the potential of this game and it started to grow into its current status as one of my favorite games ever

Canonically, all the other players exist. The player character is the WoL while all the other players are the WoL's adventurer friends. They reference this every once in a while in NPC dialogues.

"It'll be fine, we handled the coils." "Sure, and maybe this time I won't be the one smashed to the floor." "I'll try to pay attention this time."

Mekkah Dee Sadly there is no loot at all and it's not on Main Scenario Roulette like Castrum Meridanium and Praetorium were. So nobody runs this now that HW is a solid month out.

I actually work out to this theme. FFXIV is just amazing. The story is great. The soundtrack is phenomenal and the gameplay is fantastic.

This, Alex 12, Alpha 4, Penitus, Midgardsomr, Stormblood's Boss theme, Wayward Daughter, The Burn... I got more than enough tracks to shuffle for working out. And Shadowbringers is bringing a whole new set of tunes.

Y'know it just occurred to me, but it's really interesting that the first thing Thordan thought of and summoned when he thought of a God was a deified version of himself, instead of... Y'know. Halone. Their God. Probably some commentary about certain religious people there but I'm sure I'm just reading too much into it. ;p

The not!Pope was Thordan VII. The primal he summoned was Thordan I, their ancient king.

I've been playing video games for a long fucking time and I've never EVER felt like more of a hero than when I was tackling this dungeon for the first time as a level 50 Dark Knight. This theme is legendary.

Freakin love this track. Esp after beating it for the first time recently. So epic and just motivates you to continue pushing forward to the end. Absolutely love this dungeon it’s well design and beautiful to look at. Never get tire of it

Turn 2 with blu mage is the fastest to farm tomes, you can buy the jacket in less than an hour of farming.

I remember the first time I ran this dungeon and heard this song. Dear fucking god. And then the final part where the road kind of assembles as you walk and I was screaming like: "YOOOOOOOO THATS DOPE". I fucking love this game.

Ah, if you watch the opening, you get the perfect timing in the track where it plays this enchanting tune in the beginning, which trasforms into what feels like a war march the second the cutscene ends and its time to move. Perfection.

If there is a single song that they end up reusing in a future dungeon, I REALLY hope it's this one! One idea, for, say, the last new dungeon of HW, before FFXIV's next major expansion, would be to, maybe use some new music for 2/3 of a dungeon, then BAM! use THIS music for both a particular boss fight, then have it continue for the rest of the dungeon up until the last boss, sorta how they did with a music track in CM in ARR, I would even approve of them using this music for a boss theme in whatever the new 24 man will be, like maybe for the 2nd to last boss. Oh and IMO, they NEED to add this dungeon to a roulette. I would even approve of them slapping on a few eso tomes and adding it to the EX roulette (it NEEDS a 3rd dungeon added to it)

+Darknecros7 I really doubt. The theme song is original to that particular dungeon, just like the theme of World of Darkness, Blind to Dark. The good is that they come up with fresh new themes. If you look up in FFXIV themes from patch 2.0 to today, you can see how epic the songs are evolving.

I've done this dungeon way too many times for Lore tomestones grind that I needed for the Anima. It required a lot of them but the cute pink of the Canopus Lux was worth it. There are worse dungeons to farm and I'm glad this one was the best option for Lore farming at the time

Anyone came back looking for this beautiful theme when you tried soloing eureka orthos from fresh zero aetherpool strength and this theme push you on despite the severe handicap? I know i did :)
