A former aide to Melania Trump has written a memoir, Melania and Me, about her 15-year friendship with the US first lady.
In 2018, Ms Winston Wolkoff was reportedly forced out of the White House, amid allegations that she had been profiteering from President Trump's inauguration.
But the former aide has said she was "thrown under the bus".
She denied claims her company received $26 million (£20 million) in payments to help plan the 2017 ceremony and surrounding events, saying her firm "retained a total of $1.62 million".
The White House has denounced the book as a "bizarre twisting of the truth".

Many women are married to men they don’t particularly like any longer but they stay with them for financial reasons. Apart from not being in the public eye, what’s the difference? I don’t think many of us would cope very well with our whole lives being scrutinised by everyone in the world, especially when the majority would want us to fail and exaggerate, or make up stories about us. I can understand why people don’t like Mr Trump, he’s uncouth and says whatever comes into his mind, but compare that with the alternative, at least he wants the best for his country and its people, which is a whole lot more than can be said of the other side. I would choose Mr Trump over Biden and his cronies any day.

Yep. I am in one. He doesn't want to divorce me because he doesn't feel I deserve half the house and I know that if I divorce getting any of what is rightfully mine will cost me money and time. I am miserable often and he probably is too (he gets way more out of the relationship than I do because I'm not a piece of sh*t). It is gross. Pray that I win the lotto.

Document everything and keep copies not in the house for safekeeping. And put some of your money in crypto currency without him knowing. Keep your passcodes someplace else. If you finally leave in 10 years or so of your own free will, you'll have some money grown in crypto he won't know anything about. Best of luck to you!

It wasn’t enough to be married to DT. Most of the high profile social group in fashion and entertainment find the Trumps crass or a bit tacky and classless. Melania needed Stephanie. And Stephanie was a bit of a pushover for always blindly running to Melania’s aid because she felt either sorry for her or was just smitten by her because she thought they were friends. That’s what I got from the book.

Melania and the Trumps tried to blame the author for their own financial mismanagement and exploitation of funds - which is typical of the Trumps. So Melania was never a friend. It's not the low road to tell the truth. It's the low road to be bought by a rich, vile criminal. And then stay with him for more money.

Am not fan of Trump or Melania but iam actually fan of Ivana Trump . I quite liked Ivana . But why should anyone have a friend if your friend will do what this woman is doing to Melania ? The part I hate most is that recording; how can you record someone’s conversation without their knowledge? Is that even legal? I don’t really know this lady but that recording of a friend’s conversation is despicable.

@@droopypie I'm not being cynical, but I think it is a stretch to assume Trump participates in any parenting towards Barron. He only cares about his kids when they are old enough for him to use as propaganda dissemination tools. Michael Cohen described how horribly he treats his other kids. If she really cared about Baron she would have been long gone and still well supported financially like all the other exes. So let's be much more honest about her real motivations.

@@mercariel I imagine Trump provides for his kids' financial needs - any other role as a father is beyond his comprehension/ ability. A lot of men are like this. If he didn't, would they support their father as president? A woman raising a son alone is NOT a good thing - besides that, Melania is traditional, she would NOT want her son to grow up looking to his mother only as a role model. Sons need their fathers. A LOT of men who grow up with single mothers become homosexual/ confused about their gender.

I hadn't heard this before, has someone suggested it? I don't think your assumptions are true or based in science but even if they were, I can't imagine having a gay son wouldn't be better than him being raised in the image of a man like Trump. Melania is not traditional, she is myopic.
