Yes agree. Her technique is great, but she’s now developing artistry that was a bit lacking before. I’m really surprised how quickly we can see changes in these young dancers. 😮❤

Technically, this variation (whichever version) has a tonne of petite allegro, sissones, and balances. We just aren't shown it for some reason. Perhaps she is just learning the final pass?

You see what you want to see. It doesn’t make you cool to mindlessly parrot the same ‘OMG Melanie only does turns’ comments. Just because she can do a or of turns doesn’t mean that’s the only thing she does and does well. People are being intentionally obtuse to try and make it seem like they know more about ballet and popular thing=bad or they take personal issue with the conduct of some past teachers at the school or political views of the directors You could choose to focus on her arms and balances or watch any number of other variations that don’t include as many turns. At least they weren’t all pirouettes??
