It also explains the redesign in universe, they’re all ready for war, Zeus has armour on, Aphrodite is using a spear and shield, etc

Poseidon’s reaction is so heartwarming. I imagine Hades and Persephone sent word to Olympus when Melinoe was born. I can only imagine the devastation the Olympians felt when they heard about the Underworld’s fall, especially after the reconciliation party thrown in the first game.

She acts differently than the others this time. Her encounters are more akin to a fusion of Thanatos and Hermes from Hades 1, so she's no longer part of the normal god boon pool.
