I am not even Turkish but I love Turkish league and team. I am specifically fan of FB but I love all team members specially Vargas. I am very happy that she can play as a part of Turkish NT. Been waiting since the beginning. I hope Turkiye win the championship.

Not a big fan of the booing, but I love the energy that the Turkiye audience gives to the team. Even I feel energized from listening to their cheers and I'm not the one playing. 😍😂

We have very passionate fans. We didn't boo the Koreans cuz they are our bros for ex... We know who deserve it and who don't. If they come here they have to deal with that.

I'm a Turk who enjoys watching volleyball. Turks tend to get too passionate when watching sports in general. It's a national match, everyone is there to represent their countries. So yeah, booing kinda needs to go.

Even children who follow any sport know that Melissa Vargas and Turkey are not the only examples of this situation in the world. So, stop trying to play with people's perceptions and get jealous like a little kid. She needed a national team where she could show her talent in volleyball to the whole world, and she chose Turkey, her longtime home. It's our honor. I am a Vakifbank supporter but Melissa has been one of us for a long time, we love her very much. We loved her before and we love her much now. Melissa or anyone else has never been subjected to racism in our beautiful country. Çok güzel bir yazı. Melissa'yı biz Türkler çok seviyoruz. Ben bir Galatasaray taraftarıyım ama Vargas'a kötü gözle asla bakmadım. Yıllar önce bizi seçtiği için onur duydum, çok mutlu oldum. Umarım milli takımımızda ve ülkemizde sayısız başarılar yakalar. Onunla gurur duyuyorum. ❤

best player of 2023. 1. anthropova tall 202cm, spikes 335cm 2. Zhu Ting tall 198cm, spikes 327cm 3. Melissa Vargas tall 194cm, spikes 326cm. The ranking is based on the player's team position in the tournament played in 2023 and individual awards won by players in 2023 I've seen vargas since 2018 with Fener, then Tianjin, and now with Fener. Vargas is a strong player.

Some female athletes are not accepted to the competitions because they are closer to men in terms of genes and hormones among track and field athletes. One wonders about Vargas as well. Strong and athletic enough to play even in the men's team.

@@wyng4247 vargas uzun zamandır burada fenerbahçe İstanbul için oynuyor onun bu seviyeye çıkışını birlikte izledik ve şahit olduk fener taraftarı olarak zaten o benim için bizden biri gibiydi ama vargasın voleybol kariyeri için de Türkiye nin etkisi yadsınamaz. Lütfen bu söylemleri artık bırakın vargas ülkesinden ban yemesine rağmen burada çok güzel bağrımıza bastık ama maalesef italyada yetişen bir oyuncu kötü oynadığında nijeryalı oluyor. (Herkes için söylemiyorum tabii ki bunu iyi insanların çoğunlukta olduğuna da inanıyorum ama egonunun milliden bir süreliğine de olsa ayrılmasına sebep olacak kadar fazlalar ve bu üzücü ayrıca burada böyle bir şeyin olacağını hiç düşünmüyorum) Her şeye söyleyecek farklı bahaneleriniz var. Ama vargasın artık Türk olduğunu ve bizim için oynayacağı gerçeğini değiştirmeyecek.

Cuba literally banned her from the national team. She was injured when she came Türkiye but Fener took care of her and raised her. Even Serbia tried to recruit her but she chose Türkiye. Y'all are just jealous.

I mean you cannot expect them to just sit in silence, there were almost 10 thousand people there. That's the thing for Turkish fans, they also applaud when the opposing team scores. Also, they're booing just to distract the opposing team.

Ben taraftarlarımızın yaptigini yanlis buluyorum. Utaniyorum her seferinde yuhlamaya basladiklarinda. Hani tmam bizimkiler oynayinca motive etsinler, alkislasinlar falan ama karsi takimi yuhlamak gercekten cok ayip ve yapilmamasi gerekiyo. Maci kazanmak icin böyle cirkin yöntemlere mi ihtiyacimiz var? Voleybolu futbola cevirmeye calisiyolar. Voleybol hayranlari sakin ve saygili diye hosuma gidiyodu izlemesi, simdi onlarda futbol hayranlarina benzemeye basladi. Kaba ve saygisiz. Yani o tür yorumlarda bulunanlari hakli buluyorum
