Yes, I love story as well. It connects us with who we are and when we do that, it automatically connects us to others who resonate with us and us with them. Also, to go beyond the "surface" level, we must know our story deeply well, in the guts. Bury down into our own story! If we don't connect deeply with ourselves, how can we expect to connect with our market? But if you are just looking for some sales, just being average, then perhaps it is not so important to dig deep. Thank you for your great energy and gift!

Hi Melinda , thank you for your videos. Everything is detailed and intelligible. I have a question for you - in Facebook if you put @ in front of a word in a post, you can get into the list of links. How to do so to get on this list? How to do it ? Thanks again!
@melindakitto
@melindakitto 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words Pavel. I'm not 100% sure of the answer to your question. But I imagine if you're talking about your personal profile, you would only show up on the list of people who are friends with you. If it's a "Page", I would think it should show up. But if it doesn't, then it may be due to number of likes on the page or whether the user is following the page or not. But I'm just guessing, I don't know for sure

Great Video Melinda, i'm not sure you are still reading these comments, but I'm seeing a similarity with how I make my Video content on KZfaq with the copywriting. Create a HOOK, good intro, talk to my customer directly and paining a picture of what they desire, in my case, desire to QUIT corporate and feel more freedom to do what they want, by doing more meaningful work rather than working for a boss :) The question I have is about PAIN POINTS, would it be best to address pain points or rather desires? I also end with a Free Clarity call, but I will add that my call helps to have a clear next step that is actionable for them while they are still in their job, but can give them the energy and confidence to more towards their dream life. How does that sound?
@melindakitto
@melindakitto 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Rachel, I think it's important to address BOTH pain points and desires. We want to use both "towards" and "away from" language. Meaning talking to what they want to move towards and what they want to move away from. A lot of people may dream to leave their corporate job (desire), but sometimes we need that fire under our butts (the pain points) to take action. Make sure that you position your clarity call as something they'd be crazy not to book in. They'll get clear on that next step, how to balance taking action on their biz AND the obligations from their 9-5 and how to deal with the little gremlins of self-doubt that make them worry it's all impossible. Hope that helps

That makes me so happy to hear, I'm glad you've been loving my videos. Congrats on starting your new business. Rather than reading books, or articles, I'd suggest you get straight into action. It sounds like you have a specific niche, so I'd be searching LinkedIn to find people in Design Construction to connect with and learn more about the "problems" they're struggling with right now, that YOU could potentially help to solve. If you search my channel for "how to book market research interviews" that will give you a good guide. Having those conversations will be the fastest path to get projects because... A) those exact people might want to work with you... or B) they will at least arm you with the information you need to connect with MORE people just like them, and to position YOUR work as the exact solution they need.

How different is Social Media Manager to Social Media Copywriter? Also, considering character limits in social media, how can we assure stories will be read? Thanks 😊😊😊😊
@melindakitto
@melindakitto 3 жыл бұрын
A job title doesn't always accurately reflect what that person does, so it might vary from person to person. But I would assume that a social media copywriter would focus primarily on writing the words for a brand's social media accounts, whereas a social media manager would be responsible for social media strategy, growing the account and managing the brand's social media presence overall. As for the character limits... when telling stories on social media, you should focus on story snippets. We don't need to write a formal story with a beginning, middle and end. In this structure, we're trying to connect with a struggle that our potential client's are facing. So a story snippet might simply be... "As I hung up the phone, my stomach filled with that familiar sense of dread... it was another NO" That's a tiny snippet of a story, but it immediately conveys a struggle that many people experience of being rejected on sales calls. We don't need the full story to immediately get absorbed in that moment and connect it with our own experiences... which pulls us in to the rest of the post. I hope that helps.
@monicab28

How do you do this without repeating yourself over and over again? If I post 4-6 times a week, how do I not sound repetitive? I’m a Travel agent that specializes in booking Disney vacations…there’s not a lot of copy I can come up with without sounding repetitive.
@melindakitto
@melindakitto 2 жыл бұрын
I would use this format for direct promotional posts where you want the reader to take action on your offer. But I would sprinkle those promotional posts amongst other content styles. For example, you could share tips for a great Disney Vacation, answer FAQs, tell stories about families experiencing Disney, testimonials from satisfied clients etc. Plus... within this format, you can still create variety. Think of the different "pain points" or "problems" someone experiences when planning a trip to Disney. You could write one promotional post speaking to the problem of getting overwhelmed with planning. Then a different post speaking to the problem of trying to travel with little kids. So you can come at the promotion from a few different angles. That's how you can create variety in your content... but I'll also say... repetition is actually a GOOD thing. People need to hear the same message multiple times to take action. So you sharing a consistent message and reinforcing all the reasons they should choose YOU, is super important. YOU might find your content a bit repetitive, but your audience won't see every single post, so it will still seem fresh to them.

Any example for Real estate Client problem Their desire & Solution.
@melindakitto
@melindakitto Жыл бұрын
Great question... first it depends on the client. Is it a client looking to buy a property? Or a client looking for the right agent to SELL their property? Then I would put myself into that person's shoes. Let's say it's someone wanting to sell. What concerns do they have? What bad experiences have they had in the past? What are they hoping to avoid during the sales process? What would feel like a dream sales process for them? What kind of agent would feel like the perfect fit for them? Think about how that person is feeling, and then reflect that in your content. EG: Have you finally made the tough call to sell your family home and downsize? Are you worried all the real estate agents out there are just after a quick buck and don't really care what a huge step this is for you? How would it feel to have an agent who won't just work hard to get you the best sales price possible, but who truly understand the rollercoaster of the sales process and will be there every step of the way to make the transition to your new home as smooth and stress free as possible? All I'm trying to do here ^^ is imagine how that person might be feeling, and imagine what they might WANT out of their real estate experience, and then speaking to those points in the content. Let me know if that helps
