Ok Mel, what’s the goal for the first animal to look for and try to get a diamond of ?? Wooly Hare 💯. As you may or may not know…. EW always does a balancing update not long after release. Then everything gets a little harder to find. After an update, A Yak or Tahr will not be as hard to find vs. trying to find something as small as a Hare. I made the mistake of hunting willow ptarmigan until the update happened. Never concentrating on Hazel grouse or rock ptarmigan and well here we are two weeks before release and I still can’t find either or a bobwhite quail or a Gray fox. Trust me when I say this. Don’t make the same mistake I did. 😉

Yak is one of my top 5 fav animals of all time, so I’m extremely hyped for it

These animals all look amazing. I like that there are less snow leopards than tigers because that makes them more of a challenge to get a trophy of them. I can’t wait to get on this map and hunt these species.

The Yak and Tigers are amazing. The melanistic tiger is definitely my favorite rare of all time and the yak may just be my favorite big game. This stream knocked my expectations out of the park! I was already so excited, but now I’m overflowing with excitement. What is your favorite species/rare?

With these amazing new models, they should do a major update of just remodeling the older animals to the quality of the newer ones (EX: Puma, all the ibex, roosevelt elk, lions, cape buffalo, ect..)

There is a rare fur variant for yak called the wild golden yak! It look beautiful and I hope it’s in the game with that name as its fur type.

The .577/450 Martini-Henry is a rimmed, bottlenecked centerfire rifle cartridge derived from the .577 Snider, it was lengthened and bottlenecked. The .577/450 Martini-Henry was developed for use in the single shot Martini-Henry service rifle, I would rate it not as good as a 30/30 that uses cordite I think you would be lucky to get a muzzle velocity of 1300 ft/s with it . Not a Tiger hunter. LOL

The is probably because it's blackpowder about its usually weaker because it's lower velocity because modern powders generate way more than blackpowder is probably why it's 4-8

Jaxy: snow leopards, you're not going to grind for those. Mel: challenge accepted. Some very nice new models and furs, and that rifle looks a ton of fun. Not sure we're outrunning tigers any time ever though...

I imagine that woolly hare will be easy diamonds considering mountain hares are so common :)

Im real life 577/450 is bigger than a 45-70 because the bullet is thicker and longer and it was the first big bore breech- loading rifle that is not fired from a nitro Express cartridge charged the gun was used with the soul purposes to hunt dangerous game like lion and tigers and elephants for its monsturs expansion and penetration out of a 488gr lead round

I'm so excited for this map it looks so good and so does it's animals. I wonder the reason why they made the Martini Henry a class 4 to 8 because it's black powder kind of like the muzzleloader's. also is ×10 text next to the ammo new or I did just never noticed it before

Can we talk about how the tiger looks like it starts eating after it knocked out jaxys character? Maybe it was just the wounded animation but its still creepy as all get it out 😂

I hate to say it but the snow leopards are a bit undersized I think. I know they’re small irl but they shorter than muntjac so even if they are irl they’ll look disproportionate in the lodge like sika deer but other than that they all look amazing

The tigers truly scare me. The black powder ammo means it will be pushing a large caliber round but very slowly. I love the tahr. I hope with the tahr and yak hair being on point it'll make musk oxen a possibility in the future. I think once you spot a tiger or snow leopard your hunt changes. Great video mels very concise.
