Hey 👋🏻 Big B, you made a believer out of me, by how amazing 🤩 you got the Delta Force to run ! But the fact is any connection even the best bullet with set screws, leads to less conductivity and more resistivity (resistance) so the most efficient method would be to just solder the wires from esc to the motor wires and get rid of the connector all together. I’m not a electrical engineer, but I pretend to be one on social media. 😂🤣🤔😉p.s. Operating the tugboat is fun all by itself, but it usually means that you’ve already had way too much fun 🤩 with another boat .

Good info on the bullet amps. My mate always melts wires off bullet connectors, I`ve been lucky, but his soldering must be dodgy. I always take my pusher tug which is also up for some competition. Like a bollard pull or a brutal front on fight (bow to bow) 🤪

Big B , really sorry this happened , but on the positive side , the boat is ready to give you more . So I am understanding that a bigger ESC and 8mm bullets are in the pipeline . Let see it rip 👍

High current is trouble! Plain and simple. One big reason I don't make my boat class legit is because they run 4s. I went to 8s on my 34 Vortex to keep torque and HP up, while dropping the running current. I run about 120A on a 87mph speed run, where 4s would be about 220A. Big difference in wire losses, receiver noise and heat in the boat! Also, the big degrading factor on batteries is running current. But you must resist the temptation to prop up if you want these advantages to hold. Well, maybe a couple of speed runs, never say never!

The problem with using the china cheap bullets is that their not made well, you don't get full contact in the round connector. That might be fine for a boat that's not drawing a lot of amps but when you try to get some serious speed they heat up, way up and melt. I've switched to castle creations bullets and the temps are great and haven't had one problem. Cost a little more but way worth it. Bg4l

What irritates me about many of theses performance boats, is they all seem to get hot…..even with being water cooled. My Veles 29 gets pretty hot also being stock…I’ve modified the cooling system some and it’s helped but still frustrating.

Off topic. I waited till most people would have watched the video to ask a different question. I'm looking at the castle xlx2 esc. What are the amps on that. I can't find it anywhere and is the USB or Bluetooth the better way to program it and get data. I know you've dabbled with this and your my boat guru so please give me a quick heads-up. Thanks

If im not mistaken, the Xlx2 is 180a continuous with up to 350-400+ "burst" I think the USB link is the better way to program the esc, the bluetooth link gives me issues

I was wondering how much cap packs lower heat build up in the connectors , the factory cap packs on the ESC or external like the Seaking 180s i think are not big enough , plus batteries with high IR cant deliver the amps that are sometimes called upon creating heat . You have used cap packs alot and curious if you have noticed any difference in temps ?

I don't think cap packs reduce wire temps, they are designed to reduce current ripple voltage drops during a trigger pull
