We used steel pipe when pouring with thin steel plate tacked on to help solve the hole drilling problem. Cutting up chunks like that definitely no fun. The other solution was sections of pipe with threads on the end fill the pipe up screw caps on with mounting points

Try a "jobber" drill bit. Longer flutes, should clear easier.

You can put the lead in a press and push the bolt through the lead. I drilled lead...it sucks.

It’s making more power but not near 1000 with a stock bottom end
