The brain is a very complex organ, when injured it will try to heal however the healing process is a very long grueling process. Many that suffer from brain injuries suffer tremendously with pain and physical loss. Loss of speech and memory and the burden of ongoing physical pain and feelings of being worthless. Many fall into a coma or committ suicide or give up completely on life and stay in bed and then the physical breakdown of the body and brain begins.

The Interviews on the Breakfast club are so much better when Yee is more involved. Envy is a great inspiration on the financial side of things, but he doesnt add much to the shows flow in my opinion, especially when he has issues with the guest, those interviews become about Envy's emotions and less about the Guest. This was a cool interview. Ive suffered a TBI and understand her struggles with recovery.

Charlemagne is a great interviewer but sometimes he add too much of himself into the conversation and sometimes it comes across like it's just to hear his own voice or plug his latest book. Each of them have their plus and minus points that's why I'm glad they work as a team.

I clinically depressed several yrs ago & ppl don’t understand why folks who suffer commit suicide but when you wake up everyday & that depression is on your ass from the time you open your eyes until you close them at night. For yrs at a time. And you feel like your life will always be that way & you want to get better but don’t know how to get your mind out of that place then that causes a lot of nasty thoughts on why you should end it right now cause it will never be better. I can say I am happy I didn’t end it & it can get better but you gotta fight for it...

Thank you for the interview. I was in that same dark place two years ago. Those friends who stayed by her side are beyond a blessing. When you’re that deep into your darkness all the reasonable solutions don’t matter. Only YOUR chosen end game is satisfactory. You struggle to eat, sleep, bathe, move, and live. I ended up on disability from work for a few months. Ultimately I got into fitness and relocated to help ease me out of mines but it’s a recurrent battle. Stay positive and keep going even when you don’t think you can because you CAN.

I had damn near the same thing happen to me in Nov18’. I got air lifted to the hospital n was there for a month. It’s all most a year later n I don’t feel like me but that part of reliving on your brain hit me hard kuz that was me. Listening to my Dr’s tho n having a good support system around me got me to this point. Shout out to Ms. Ford for overcoming n prevailing. Ur a inspiration fr fr.

Hotobu in regards to alternative medicine she was dropping gems! Most people (which is why their is an opioid epidemic) are quick to get hooked to prescription drugs and trusting in big Pharma! Melyssa providing other ways to heal herself is big jewels.

I felt this interview so deeply. I too also went through a traumatic car accident with a whole lot of other stuff at the same time. I was never the same after those events. Life just looks and feels different. Thanks for sharing Melyssa, and for anyone else that endured trauma, you are not alone. You are loved, valued, and abundant in every way. Love you!

I felt like this was me in that chair expressing myself with just about everything she said, not having the tools to deal with a monster and your friends and family not knowing exactly what to do either. God Bless you and everyone else who has really been through some shit. My ex was murdered on my birthday 4 years ago and from that point idk wtf happened to me but I just went on a wild path of self destruction. I am just now trying to really do the work to get myself put together again but I won’t lie it is HARD.

Thank God she survived that horrible accident and recovered well. I remembered hearing about it and seeing everything online and I immediately prayed that she recovered because I’ve been in two accidents. The second one was like I was watching and waiting for it to happen and took all the impact. Never any brain injury but I so happy she made it
