Hundreds of people hate on Arnel but it's pointless because he sounds really good and has alot of soul. Also, he's keeping the band alive. So you should thank him or take Journey over yourself

Arnel Pineda set up a foundation to help street kids and homeless . He did this in return of him being a homeless teen before . Pineda had a decent home to live now. Some of his earnings goes to the education of his relatives and some goes to a foundation.

People need to understand Steve gave Arnel his complete blessing and support. My husband is Filipino, just like Arnel, he sings all the time. Just as good.

I rediscover Journey since this guy came on for Steve Perry. Awesome voice with some touch of Bryan Adams voice. Didn't know Journey had so many songs, if not for this guy I would not have known. The voice is insanely awesome!!

Steve I believe left the group in 1996 - he was already 46 then. So many are still blabbing about Steve returning to tour with Journey - you guys are forgetting that he is now 72 and had a problem with his hips. Journey's songs, shows are suited for more agile performers. Steve's legacy will remain but his time has passed. Journey is just extending time to the band's life - they're all seniors now, and are all ready to retire. so enjoy the final moments with Arnel (the life support) of Journey now..

Arnel can sing almost anything that's out there not just Journey songs .. he's a very talented guy ..

Well, that's Journey.. The band and that's Arnel and he wouldn't mind being called just a tribute singer and proud and grateful for he is now. I saw them play in the Philippines a month ago. The music lives on people and I'm just happy that Journey was given a new lease in life.

What's nice is there are so many talents in this world that keeps the kind of music we like/love alive & continue the legacy of our individual music icons, it's 2016, Arnel Pineda is the voice I like to listen in my generation, I'm happy for those who had the chance to listen to Steve Perry.

Both Arnel and Steve are awesome. You don't have Arnel or Journey without Steve. You don't have Journey continuing on top without Arnel. Both of these guys deserve their props. I'm glad Arnel got this opportunity. He is fantastic and is obviously someone to get behind. Very humble and very talented. He has my respect as well as Steve.

I don't know Steve Perry because I am much younger than him. I have started falling in love with Journey music when they hired Arnel Pineda as a lead singer for the band. He sounds amazing! If some Steve Perry fans hate Arnel Pineda so much why don't you just listen to your Journey old vinyl album by Steve Perry and not disliking and negative comments here on you tube about the new guy. It is deplorables because you sounds like an old fart to me!

Who was AP before Journey? Arnel Pineda's journey is an inspirational cinderella story. A boy who never stop believing. At the age of 13 his mother's death exhausted the family to bankruptcy. Separated from his siblings to unburden his father he left home and school empty handed. He was a homeless boy for two years. He slept in park benches, selling scrap metals, newspapers, bottles. He survived three days without food. His friends sometimes urged him to sing in exchange for food. Then one day they encouraged him to use his voice for a living. At the age of 15 he auditioned and became a member of the band called Ijos. When he was earning enough he reunited his family. He jumped from band to band just to survive until a record label noticed him and offered a self-titled solo album in 1999. He tried his luck and flew to the foreign land of Hongkong. Frustrated, he flew back to Philippines after more than a decade. In 2006 he was encouraged to joined the band called Zoo as the lead singer. The Zoology album was released in 2007. During their gigs because of his incredible voice box Arnel covers vocally challenging songs from Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Air Supply, to Journey. At that point although he was earning viewers from KZfaq yet still hasn't gain popularity in music industry. Just when Arnel was about to give up on his singing career he received a call from the Guitarist of Journey Neal Schon. The rest is history. At the age of 40 he became a rock star. The first thing he ever did after his international success was funding his own (AP) Foundation to help homeless and street children like he was himself. This inspired the Journey to write the song 'City of Hope' in Eclipse Album. Arnel even composed charity songs 'This Christmas' and "Charity" (in Cartoon Network) for the Yolanda Victims. After the Journey World Tour 2015 AP is now back to the studio working on his new album. #filipinopride
