The 2nd deck for me is classic. My favourite as a kid skating, and die-hard fan of Tony's at the time. Still a fan!

I had that board. The 80s pink Hawk.

I had the exact same board. The hot pink and blue. It had trackers and crossbone wheels. I had him sign it. At a demo in Modesto Ca. It had the exact same set up he was running that night.

I much prefer the old boards. Just taken up skateboarding again (yeah, I am too old really), but I just can't get used to the new skinny boards and I've now seriously hurt my ankle. Tempted to get an old one to cruise on.

can someone please explain why tony is saying g&s everslick and not santa cruz??
@idmhead01603 жыл бұрын
I was thinking maybe the two were both part of NHS, but, it doesn't look like it.
@buckodonnghaile4309 Жыл бұрын
@@idmhead0160 g&s had their own version of an everslick back then no? I think he's just using the term everslick as a catch all term.

Sorry tony but you are a little confused . The polyurethane wheel was first made in 1970 for roller skate wheels Frank Nasworthy took them off and tried them on skateboards. By 1972 Cadillac wheels were out. Within the next few years all companies were using polyurethane. The bahne skateboard your brother gave you came out in late 1973 to early1974 by 1975 they sold over 10,000,000 bahne skateboards with polyurethane wheels.
