In this video, I give the Memphis Shades Road Warrior a road test on my commute to work. A cold morning, combined with speeds of 60mph + were perfect conditions to test the function of this fairing along with the 15" windshield I selected. Watch and see how the Road Warrior performs!

I notice the road warrior doesn't have a rubber gasket shroud on the inside to cover the head light. That could be a reason it doesn't seat the same. I bought the ebay version for my 99' Sportser. I might swap the 7" headlight to 5.75 so I can use my Gauntlet faring on my 21 slim.

Great review man! Just picked up the fairing and have been on the fence with which size windshield to grab. Think I’ll get the 15” now. 👍

MOTOSARGE You will get some updrafts from under the bars/tank but its way better than taking all that to the head. Let me know how you like it!

That definitely looks good on your bike and it will give you more/longer riding time. Plus if you get caught in a rain shower it will pay off there too! I got me a pair of Carhartt Duck Hunting pants to wear on those chilly mornings, and they help keeping my legs warmer than my jeans. Check them out. They might work for you too.

I know this video is a little old now but do you still ride with this fairing setup? You don't have any issues with helmet buffeting at highway speeds? I've seen so many mixed reviews on this. Thanks for the reviews!

I am still using this fairing to this day. No problems with the head buffeting.

I know this might sound odd but if you could do you mind telling me what the diameter of the headlight opening is on the road warrior you have. I tried contacting customer service multiple times and got no response. I’m trying to run this on a custom bike build.

I like the look for sure. Function is the most important. How wide is the fairing and the windshield? I will be doing multi-state multi-day trips on my Sport glide. Big trip in June will be Colorado to Alabama. Wind management is most important. I'm trying to make a decision between the Memphis Fats Drop Top windshield and the Road Warrior. BCB SILVER HAWK I noticed on my commute home where I was fighting more wind riding west that some updrafts were coming from under the bars. Not terrible. It does really well. I can measure the width when I am home later. Take care!

I like the look of the Road Warrior and was curious about the functionality. I'm 6ft and also ride a 2018 SG. In your riding (with the RW) will the 15 in work for me or do they make one a little taller? Thanks in advance.

Just did 3+ hours today. No fatigue and no wind on my head with the 15” shield. Does great! I’m 5’9”.

Great review, as usual Sir! Did you feel much turbulence coming around the tank and up your chest? It looks like there might’ve been, but that could be from something else.

Royce Labor There was a slight updraft coming up from under the bars that I noticed way more on my ride home. I was heading into wind on my commute home so I noticed it way more. Still, best fairing I own of the three (stock, Bullet and Road Warrior). I will probably do a full review some time next year.

Super, thanks! That’s the single biggest problem that I have with the stock fairing. I’m working with the folks at Los Angeles Fairing Co to develop a fairing that will fit our Sport Glides. Currently, the biggest challenge is the 7” headlight. Check out their Diablo fairing, it flares out slightly at the bottom of the fairing which pushes the air farther out so you don’t feel the turbulence on your chest.

mario artesi I really want to get an engine guard this year. My chin spoiler, unfortunately, can’t be used with it. Hope the Road Warrior is to your liking!

D-Cycle !! Love the look of it and, being 5’10” I went with your suggestions!!! Can’t wait for the shield to arrive!!! Do you have to remove your Kuryakyn chin ?! What a shame it does look good !!! Can I ask you about those hand guards ?! Do you have a install video and are they Memphis shades as well !!! I am very happy with the fit and finish !!! I have a Rad Guard for the radiator, it’s great for chips and stones but it’s not a flash look for sure !!!! Funckuality is the word !!!

Directly from Memphis Shades: Unfortunately, at this time we only have our line of Handlebar Mount Windshields for the 18+ Breakout. We’ve been so slammed a lot of our projects that were “in the works” got pushed back to the back burner.

Too bad they don’t make a quick release for the whole fairing, when the weather gets nice it would be nice to switch out to just a short windshield or just ride bald face to the wind.

Hi DCycle !!!i am considering the road warrior for my SG, could you please link me the parts codes for the fairing and the bolt on kit ?! Also I am 5’10” and previously mounted a Clockwerk 8” which was absolutely hopeless with wind buffeting... Will check your install video again but did you get the headlight extension kit as well ?!?! Keep it sleazy DCycle !!!!

Thank you DCycle, I am 5’9” so do you think a 13” screen would do me well ?! Also I have a 10” wild1 Ape fitted, would the handlebars be in the way of the shield ?! I love the look of the road warrior and can’t wait to get it if fits !!!
