To just shed some light, my goal is to have a braid salon where all hair textures are welcomed and celebrated. In corporate America it is deemed as unprofessional for Black people to wear their hair in braids. If we want to fight for change, and eliminate these negative notions then its time we all come together and support the culture. I really don't understand why hair styles have to be appropriated to one culture, I understand the hate that's going on because I'm black and Mexican/Latina but if someone says someone else can't have their hair a certain way just because of the color difference and the cultural difference is really hypocritical to me, because I have very curly hair with white skin because my dad is light completed and I get ridiculed by other black females for doing my edges (even tho it originated from Latina and Afro Latina women) and it makes me mad how someone can be so hypocritical
