Stop getting tapers and just do a reg line up. I been growing my hair for almost 2 years. I use to do tapers when I had a fro I stopped. Just get reg line ups. Now I don't get any shape ups just letting my hair line grow its filling in where it was push back

Umm it really depends, probably around 4 inches maybe but it also depends on if you experience a lot more shrinkage like most do with type 4 hair.

As i black male how do i combat shrinkage. My hair i fairly long, its right around my eyebrows. But as so as it touches water my box braids go from an okay length to baby size. What should i do?

Honestly, that’s a really hard question lol. The best thing u can ever really do is to try and avoid water, shower with a cap on. But with type 4 hair, it’s really hard to combat shrinkage in general. You can also thread your twists but that’s also a pain tbh, it would help with retaining the length tho. But overall.. best thing is to not wet it sadly.. lol. If there’s anything else I can think of I will let you know.

We did length check in beginning of this video where we show u how long his hair is. Also, Its hard to say how long it took him to grow it, as he wasn’t consistent in trying to grow his hair the entire time. He would start and then stop. Also he would trim his hair sometimes. But I would say his hair grew 3-4 inches in about a year.

@@Nick-zp6wm - Shampoo Once a week - Conditionner 1-2 times a week - Deep condition your hair everyweek - Add moisturizing in the morning AND at night - sleep with a durag or whatever you want to protect your hair from breaking out and keeping them moisturize at night - Take Vitamin Biotin to improve hair growth and health this is everything you need my friend
