In my marriage I became slimmer, more beautiful, healthier, smarter, richer. Mostly because my husband is a good cook and helps me with routines like going to bed early enough. He makes sure I have time for exercise, hobbiea and holidays, by watching the kids. Also because my pay fluctuates, but his pay is very stable, so I don't have financial stress.

My mom's hair got thicker, lost weight, and her eyes got whiter and brighter after she moved provinces away from my crazy ass father. She looked younger etc. I can confirm this is true. I know men will say other wise but honestly, it's easier to be single or to be a single parent then to be with someone you can't stand.

@amethystjones9677 6 ай бұрын
@cherryivana1129 but at least you wouldn't make the same mistake. my father took my mom's youth and reputation. She could never get that back, hence why we had to move across the country. My father ( jamaican) was a smooth talker when he wanted to worm his way back into her life but would provide nothing. Honestly, if my sister and I never shared our disappointments with her, she would have stayed. He isolated her.she had no friends and instigated fights between family. She didn't talk to my grandma for years. I love my dad, but he was vicious, controlling, and manipulative. My mom became a better parent when she left him because she became more present and had more energy to do things with us.She wasn't crying all the time, and her voice became clearer because she wasn't yelling. She lost the weight, I think, because she was sleeping better and wasn't stressed, worried, or scared etc.She was able to go places and do things with us like take us to Disney world. Eventually, buying her own home, we would have never had those childhood experiences if she stayed with him. Women from a certain generation are scared of the stigma that comes with being a single parent, especially if they are hard-working black women. The thing that hurts me most is that she thought we would suffer if she left him because we did/do love our dad, but our emotional states were and still are dysfunctional. I'm happy they are far away from each other. My mom puts us first now and can do more things she wants now.

@@amethystjones9677 mannn I wish my Nigerian mom was like your mom cause my mom put me though so much when I was 14-22 about communicating with my dad and shit. Plus I have seen violence between my parents and I sometimes be feeling some anxiety and ptsd from both of my parents being in the same car together. I don’t have any sympathy for both of them especially my dad cause why would he choose my mom out of all ppl???? That’s why I’m tryna move out of my mom’s house cause I cannot heal and grow up still being in my hometown. I would’ve wanted to be get closer with my mom if she had just divorced my dad. That also why I don’t respect the Nigerian culture and I’m completely distancing myself from it.

There’s a woman I found on TikTok who wrote a book called “Broke men will make you fat” and it has this exact premise. Being with a man who stresses you or who just isn’t for you raises your cortisol and triggers other functions that literally makes you gain weight, makes you ugly, throws off your pH, etc.

This is why when a woman finally leaves the man, she glows up, loses weight and starts looking good again to the point her skin is glowing. Then their ex's can't understand why she didn't look like that during their relationship. Funny that ay? Brilliant video! I pay attention to my skin when dating. The moment my skin dries up or gets flakey out of no where (my skin in naturally soft and smooth with a pinky glow), I know this guy is not for me. Know your baseline in the healthy sense 😉

That’s true. Notice also that the bitter incel XYs like to make snide comments about the glow-up, where they say, “you watch, she’ll get fat and ugly again when she finds her new guy.” If that new guy treats her like a queen, she’ll only get better looking.

The fact that men are happier in marriages and women are unhappy in marriages is so fcked up. This shows how much men do not care about the well being of women. Because how are you happy when your "life" partner is unhappy? My partner being unhappy would hurt me.

exactly! Very good point! Don't be afraid to be single if you have to. Men don't define us. And some men, just like some women, are called to singleness. God will show the way and help you, if He wills that way for you.

and another thought your comment sparks in me - how these same unhappy unhealthy women, suffering in their relationships, then raise their sons to repeat the cycle by mistreating women, by not being atuned to them.... and indifferent and often absent (mentally) dads doesn't help the case! because think, all these toxic men been raised by women!! what women and how to get that kind of result?! It's really into our hands to raise sons (men )to be great husbands for next generation women! (Obviously, this goes for women who get to the point of that, I for example, am childless, but if I had a child, specially a son, it would be my mission to raise him to grow up a decent man, not an asshole that I myself would not want to meet if I wasn't his mom!)

It can honestly be far more inconspicuous. Last year I was extremely stressed all the time and my anxiety was through the roof, I basically had all the symptoms of thyroid issues but not in blood work. Super high blood pressure. I've had issues with stress and anxiety for a while now but, not like this. Only once my housemate moved out (on my insistence btw) did I start to stabilise and be able to think clearly. His behaviour on paper didn't seem as bad. But I realised having someone that constantly puts off, minimizes issues and either jumps into panic mode or completely dismissed your concerns as "you're just letting your anxiety get the best of you" its far worse than being on your own. On paper someone "being chill" and saying oh don't worry about it, it's not a big deal, I'll deal with it later" sounds like something completely reasonable to say. However when "later" becomes days and weeks, you're just piling on things you have problems with and what needs to be solved. And if you say you'll do it yourself then they tell you you're overreacting and to chill and they will take care of it, going through another cycle of stressing you out and questioning your own sanity. Solving things on my own is stressful, it's just life, but it's far easier and far less stressful when you don't have someone convincing you they will solve it later, or that it's irrelevant.

I am a mother of 3 grown children, and I was married many years. This young lady speaks the truth. A bad man will detroy you, take away your vibrancy and beauty, and make you ill. Some women develop auto immune disorders and deadly cancer because of being in toxic relationships. Ladies, take good care of yourselves. Don't give anything away for free out of the goodness of your heart. Don't offer a man husband priviledges when he only gives you crumbs. He will never get better, and you will only get worse. Be a lady, and make sure a man treats you like a lady. As she put it, some men want to be the woman in the relationship. But a masculine man is protective and he provides, he makes you feel secure and safe, and beautiful. That's the kind of man you can invest yourself in. Never give away yourself for free. Never chase a man. There is a price for everything. You have value way above your body parts. Do not place a man on a pedestal, do not make him the center of your life. Always remember that you are the prize, not him. He has to earn your love, your attention, and your beautiful, healing, generous, nurturing presence in his life. 💖💖💖💖

@@Bananaaabread They’re saying that people who are truly happy laugh whole heartedly. The girls who are in relationships with boys who don’t make them happy are the ones who don’t laugh while heartedly because they’re not truly happy despite thinking they need a boyfriend to be happy. It’s a lie girls are told, despite single women being statistically shown to be much happier because they’d rent stressed out by a man. That’s why it’s important to learn to live yourself first, and vet a man because if he makes you unhappy what’s the point of being with him?

At the beginning of the year , I was in a very short relationship (3 months). Incredibly toxic. He would not let me sleep, would start to argue just before I fell asleep. I saw myself aging +5 years in two months. He literally sucked the life out of me. He would make me cry every week. The salt of the tears destroyed my skin. It was long-distance and when we met I would have a big rash afterwards. Autoimmune responses are good indicators that my body is in flight or fight mode and tries to deal with it. My peace is now back and I will never let anybody treat me like this ever again.

I didn't get ugly, but my brain got slower and less capable of forming sentences properly. I don't know how to explain properly but my brain isn't as 'elastic' as it was once a few years ago. I feel like the emotional and overall mental abuse was such that I ended up becoming slower at processing information and forming sentences. We were only in a relationship for a year, he would always say that women were lesser than men, going far as to debate me for hours over men being smarter and more capable than men. He would diminish our girly accomplishments, claim men have it harder, that we are so bitchy and useless. I tried so hard that I bought into his ideas and even preached them to other people. I regret that immensely. What a pick-me-ho I was a few years ago. Turns out he went to jail for a year for shooting someone with his gang in DENMARK while cheating on me with a Muslim girl because they are purer than a non-believing scum such as myself. In short, Muslim girls deserve better, and so do I. This channel offers me so much comfort and I am thankful for your content.

This is so true, it gives me chills. My mom was beautiful, vibrant and looked very young when she met my stepdad. They were married for 15 years. He cheated on her and controlled her financially. She worked full time in a job she hated and had to give all her money to pay bills because he would waste his money on frivolous items. Towards the end of their relationship I remember showing her picture to someone who had never met her. They literally gasped and asked me if she was ok. I was confused at first..They thought she had cancer. She had aged years from her stress. Then I realized she looked so different, like she was barely clinging to life...all from being with this man.

Period also were suddenly terrible where I was passing huge clots, gained the 70 lbs back I had lost BEFORE meeting him. When I broke it off with him…..my business sales MASSIVELY took a beautiful turn, got my first new car, moved to a new state, and went out of the country for vacation all within 3 months of kicking him out my life. The acne cleared within 6 months. Also lost all that weight again within a year of being away from him. I 100% believe this theory

There is definitely truth to this. When my friend settled for some bum because she “didn’t want to be an old maid”, she went from looking like Princess Diana to looking like trailer trash (significant weight gain, tattoos, bad hair, dark circles under eyes, sallow skin, bad teeth). When she finally dumped him, she glowed up, and when she found that guy who treats her like a queen, she got even better looking. Her hair is enviably think, shiny and beautiful, she has flawless skin, and she gets people telling her that she looks like Princess Diana again. I’m in a fabulous relationship with a successful businessman from the Middle East (been in the US since the 1990s) who treats me like a queen, and I’m seeing positive changes in my own looks. I’m getting leaner even though I’m not doing anything deliberately (including in spots that have always been “trouble spots” for me), I’m told that I naturally glow even if I don’t have a stitch of makeup on my face, and I have an energy level that is off the chain. I’m aging backwards!

Yes, dating ugly men is the WORST advice I ever heard. Many of them DON’T appreciate a woman’s beauty. On the contrary, many of these ugly guys get an inflated sense of self-worth once they get a pretty girl to date them, and they act HORRIBLY toward her and other women. Big Ed from “90 Day Fiancé” is a perfect illustration of this.

What to do when your man does all that but you’re still not convinced he’s the one for you? When You see so many women claiming they want a man to treat them just like your man treats you, but you can’t seem to dive in? I think my biggest stress factor recognizing I am still not fully sold on my man when he provides by paying all the bills and spoils me and gives me massages and the whole princess treatment. He took me to Hawaii for free and we are about to go on another trip in a couple weeks to Italy. The thing is, I always thought that’s exactly what I wanted, someone that is able to provide and make me feel protected as a biological instinct we women have due to years of evolutionary mutations in our DNA. and I do love how it feels to be treated this way specially because I never in my life thought I deserved this kind of treatment but yet he gives it to me and makes me feel super safe and loved and supported. He’s actually made me a better person because I was so cold, hard, a wall and now I can communicate and I am so honest about how I feel, but he has made me kinder and softer in the way I say things. No need to be blunt, things can be articulated in ways that don’t pass my self loathing to others. He’s done so much good for me. Yet, I still self sabotage and wonder wtf is wrong with me? He’s not the most attractive guy but he’s not ugly exactly, Just softer than I’m used to? But he has his manly moments. Gosh as I write this I wanna puke at myself. He’s my preferred height, 6’2. As I write this I see how superficial I might be making this relationship. It’s almost like I’m going after what I’m “supposed to go for” instead of “what I want.” I also feel it’s partly because I took my time with sex and lost it as a much older age than normal, and now I’m here about to be 29 with just 2 bodies and I almost feel like I missed out? Like I spent so much time being the ‘good girl’ to get someone like him and now here I am, complete case of human nature at its core, dissatisfied. Wanting to risk it. Wanting to see what being bad is like. Wanting to rebel. I’m more the risk taker than he is but I bring it out of him. He’s the good guy i gave a chance to and now feel sort of stuck because of the way he makes me feel. I am selfish as fuck because I love how he loves me. And I have been so honest with him and told him that to his face, that I have lost some of the attraction and I love how he loves me more than I love him, I have never been able to be so vulnerable and open about my feelings for someone and he takes it with such grace, no matter how hurtful my feelings sound like. I never last out I always say “hey babe I feel like I need to say something so that it doesn’t grow in the dark and become a big deal and yet, he just says that it’s okay. That he’s willing to put the work and if that’s not enough for me that he’s happy to stay for as long as I let him. He has put the ball entirely on my court. I feel such conflicting emotions, he’s 80% the type of man I want to have but the lack of attraction has given me increased cortisol and gained weight as mentioned. I try to tell myself that looks will fade and eventually how he treats me will outweighs that because at the end of the day, we spent a majority of time being “older” than we do younger and short term decisions sound illogical. granted there’s a million girls prettier than I am, so I know it’s not exactly an ego thing. I just dont know what to do. I have always done better and looked better when I am single. After my first toxic abusive relationship I lost 40lbs. I have gained it all back while with him and that’s not his fault at all, I know it’s mine. So sorry to vent but I feel like I have no one to say this to irl, because I know everyone would think I am crazy to be saying such fucked up things about a man like him, and I would instantly be the mean and bad one for these fucking feelings that’s something as superficial as attraction can create

He would get mad if I didn’t want to eat certain things, throw tantrum when I wanted to go to the gym, accuse me of having affairs with men at the gym. I just didn’t want to fight anymore so I stopped my routine all together. Totally got me off my game. I know many women can attest to this. Thats an entire video within itself.

Ladies, guard your womb and never let people (even pick me women) tell you that you make it too hard for a man. Remember, they will always try to get you at a discount, keep your chin up and know your worth.

this video hits home for me! i just got out of a three year relationship with a guy (my first love) whom i thought to be the one, however this relationship turned pretty toxic towards the end. i’m usually never sick, but in these past three years i’ve had EVERYTHING. infections, colds, you name it. i also struggled with heart palpitations when trying to fall asleep. and he would barely ask me how i’m doing during those times. now 6 months post breakup i haven’t been sick once, no breakouts, no racing heart, i can sleep peacefully. a month ago he came back asking for another chance literally begging me, and i entertained it for a while by responding to his messages or talking to him in classes - immediately i gained weight and started breaking out. i’ve cut him off completely now and i’m pretty excited for the glow up

NO please don’t tell me this is a sign. I’ve been in a long distance relationship with my bf and we see each other twice a year. I’ve been gaining stomach fat, but losing weight. My skin was always smooth but I’ve been noticing a lot more acne. I used to have super fast metabolism but now I can drink two bowls of soup and call it a day. Problem is, he actually treats me so well. He’s so attentive to my needs. He notices when I’m upset before I do, feeds me good food, and buys me clothes when he notices that I am growing out of my own. I don’t buy a lot of things for myself, but he always goes out of his way to treat me out and make me feel better when I’m down. But at the same time, I feel like my speech patterns are getting slower and I easily trip up over what I say. My reaction time to everything has gotten a lot slower and I feel so weak physically.

I’ve noticed something similar when I go out with guys. People tend to approach them more, wanting to talk and help them out. At first, I found it strange-why were people suddenly so social? Even the guys looked surprised by the attention, like they weren’t used to it. It wasn’t until I watched this video and read the comments that it dawned on me: maybe being around me gave them a certain value in others’ eyes. Suddenly, strangers wanted to engage with them more when they were with me, and I didn’t understand why. So yeah, I definitely think being seen with a woman can make a difference.

Your cycle changing negatively eg getting longer or more painful or pms feeling stronger and lastly PH balance in the lady garden changing for the worst, sudden thrush and/or BV or just imbalance that you can’t explain down there is your body telling you it’s being exposed to toxic fumes.

I was having the same sad expression as the woman in the video many years ago but it wasn't for a guy, it was because of living with my toxic family. I used to look at my self in the mirror every morning and smile at my reflection. After YEARS of abuse, one day I looked in the mirror and even when I smiled, I looked extremely sad. From that experience, I learned to protect my energy and only after years of being far away from them I finally recovered my smile.

This is such an important video, I wish so badly when I was 16-19 I could have heard podcasts like this. Men use us to triangulate with other females, and create jealousy to get more, and ultimately take from us, while telling us we aren't special and replaceable, and yet the reason they feel they can replace us is because of the fact we brought them clout (when theyre ugly). I have no male friends now because I learned quickly in my 20's all my male "friends" just wanted to sleep with me, it used to make me so sad that they didn't value my time or interests and just saw me as another conquest to take from. So bravo to this I hope young girls and women can hear this and make more informed choices before they let a man into their life.

Some women may get more relaxed, more comfortable may even put on a couple of pounds but there will still be an inner glow and overall youthfulness and joyfulness that is beautiful if they are in a good relationship. But sadness, depression, toxicity, unhealthy lifestyle and abuse will literally drain the life from you and age you and make you gain cortisol which makes you gain weight in other kind of ways than the happy kind of weight gain.

The comfortable "ugly" is cute and admirable and they can snatch up, it's like a choice to lose the weight, do their hair, it's like a simple bounce back"like omg girl u look so relaxed and happy" vs the stressed ugly "omg girl, you okay?, you need some therapy" this one take a longggggg time to get out of. Also, there are people who are not made to be in a relationship, and every partner drains them simply because they are in a relationship. Basically, one needs to take an honest look inside to check if a good romantic relationship is possible at all.

I definitely understand how being with the right person makes a relationship survive. My mom was at her lowest with my dad. She lost so much weight, had two miscarriages, went through abuse and stuff. When he died she was able to carry herself the way she used to, became more beautiful than ever and still had admirers despite being 47 going 50. Being a single mom is hard especially with 6 kids but she made it. She told me "If he ain't treating you like a princess walk away like the boss you are." I aspire to be as strong as her in my own motherhood.

Whatever it is you need - job opportunities, advice on men, data, house fixing, work outsourcing, babysitting, mental support, business support... A husband can't do and know everything, that's why we have friends. Male friends will be there for you, just like you are there for them. They will share the best books and newest industry trends, mindfulness and exercise tricks, you can get to know their male and female friends which are great people too. They will always respect your husband, never try to make passes on you. Because of my friends, I am sane and successful. Good male friends are the best thing ever and just writing this I started crying.
