Mendelssohn was the real deal. He had chops in almost every style of composition, and his mastery of fugue here is leagues above contemporaries who may have done them as exercises but never really expanded on the form.

ngl, at first i didnt read the title, and I thought "oh, he's upload bach's pieces now. which piece is this? its sounds really nice!", and then I realized that SOMEHOW this is Mendelssohn lol.
