In todays video ill be showing you guys an unboxing of this new model kit from meng, also finding out is it worth the $350 price tag. Hope you guys enjoy.

Another YTuber reviewing the Beemax Lotus says this kit is 'toy like' compared and he will sell his on.(There is quite a price difference though)

About the carbon fiber. This particular monocoque used a male mold, in reality, to do the carbon fiber layup. The weave pattern was always somewhat more subtle on the outer surfaces but stood out on the inner surfaces. Today, female molds are primarily used. Those produce a much smoother and shinier outer surfaces and the weave is much more defined and visible.

Thank you for the information I have been the same thing at the model shop it's just a bit unusual to see that on a 1/12 scale car but if that what it is I will work with that did you think you paid to much or are you happy with the price

Would like to see if the floor and tub are warped and also some knowledge of ejector pin marks. I can tell there is no weave pattern in the carbon fiber. For me to pay this much I would need some plumbing and electrical fittings and stellar carbon templates and decal material. In my opinion the price is not justified in the kit. Thanks for the video, sticking with my Tamiya.

Thanks for watching, I'm glad I'm not the only one to think it's overpriced. I agree with you strongly about the carbon fibre, definitely not weavy enough! Will have to look into possibly cutting my own carbon fibre sheets for this. Have a great new year!

Yes it is I didn't get this kit for myself got it for my son's birthday he was looking at this model awhile ago I guess I was the guinea pig that go it for him But thank you for watching my video appreciate the feedback it helps the channel to grow have a great weekend

Yes it is a odd kit it's going to look a bit odd with my 1/24 scale f1 models but I will see how billed goes but thank you for your feedback and thank you for watching my video hope you have a great new year

@@gbmodels7790 When I get around to building it, I'll leave the engine out, use the transmission to hold in the rear suspension, and not use the screws to fasten everything together so I can remove the screw mountings from inside the engine cover .
