Venture2Roam Overlanding

I have a dark side…and I think one of the things that keeps it in balance is the ability to get outside and have an adventure…the older I get, the more I realize it’s not just fun…it’s essential. We hit the middle and south forks of the Boise River, dodging storms the entire time, but we needed to have an adventure. These Spring skies and storms are a perfect reflection of how I feel inside. There’s so much swirling around us, and so very little we can control, but seeing the storm is different than being in the storm, and getting perspective on a mountain helps remind me that having people to love and watch the weather pass by with, is what makes this crazy life worth it.

Thank you 🙏🏻. Kate and I were just chatting about this. When we’re out there, it helps us just be in the moment and not worry about the past or future as much. Now if I could just get a Dr to prescribe this…😀 really appreciate the comment!!

Wow! Thank you. I could identify with so much of what you said. Plus your storytelling is awesome. The end made me feel like I’d just heard the benediction at church. It’s ok to have the shadows and darkness just that it doesn’t define us. I needed to see this video today. You guys rock. Thanks for sharing.

Nature has always been my medicine. I grew up in it, the foothills of california is where i spent my childhood. Moving away was the most traumatic thing, it chqnged my mental and emotional wellbeing. I didnt know it then, but i do now. Im grateful people are talking about mental health, and what nature can do when we spend time outside. I love your channel, and being in Kuna, caring for my parents has made the trips very far and few in between. Watching your adventures helps me connect to the wild, in the middle of a booming suburbia, a lot of people and very few trees.

Amen on the wolfwise! Great little privacy tent but I have to admit, I look at the directions every time I break it down! Great videos! Wish we we in Idaho. CT has little in the way of Boondocking. A few paid campsites and zero trails. Hoping to Venture out west this year. Thanks for sharing your experience. Safe travels!

I used to look at the wolfwise directions every time too…until it just became muscle memory. We are so lucky in the West that people fought to create these public lands back in the late 1800s…it was such an amazing gift to future generations. Safe travels to you too!!

About sponsors. Please don't fall down that rabbit hole. It may be nice to get free gear, extra money and such, but EVERY KZfaqr that lets the sponsorships become the focus of their videos, I find the video less organic and more staged. I've unsubbed at least 10 channels this year alone that I started watching 3-4 years ago. They got good, but the sponsorship took over and they were like long advertisements, with no actual content. You can absolutely set standards on what items/sponsors you let into your channel, and how you incorporate them into your vidoes. Keeping your own adventures the main focus, and their products in the background, you will find the mix that works well for you and your viewers.
@Venture2Roam
@Venture2Roam 2 жыл бұрын
@@insaynbcr I love this comment. It's such an easy thing to say "yes" when companies are offering to send you products...but I so agree that it's a very slippery slope. For now, I have the luxury to say no, but understand that other creators are trying to put food on the table...so even though I may not sub to those channels...I don't judge them too hard. For now, we've decided to focusing on a few long term relationships with a few brands we really align with..some big, some small - and have pulled back on saying "yes" to most offers coming in. Thank you for posting this comment - it's so important for us to hear things like this as we shape the future of the channel!
