I am taking the academy of peer services course I am a NCCPSS was also being supervised at my job working on my 300 hrs under Carolina Outreach LCSW and Psychiatris as a intrim counselor. When I had to come back to NY I now have to start from scratch. But am glad because althought I taught wellness and recovery which included the WRAP there are things that I thought I knew that I really did not. Very humbling!!!

God Bless you for acknowledging that there were things that you thought you knew, but really didn't! God bless you on the rest of your journey! I'm just starting my journey now to became a Peer Supporter!

12 years back when I first started my Peer advocacy journey I actually picketed at Kings County when a Peer died from dyhydration. I would like to actually work now for Kings due to its reputation being so much better then it was. I am now and have worked as a NCCPSS in North Carolina and now am working for the last 3 months to receive my NYCPSS.
