Check out this low volume hack for the Minelab Manticore. :-) I kind of feel silly posting this video, but I'm sure some of you might be having the same issue. Let me know in the comments. Its an "ah ha" moment when you realize it.

Thanks, Mental Metal I use the wireless headphones as much as possible but did use the water proof FOSS phones a couple weeks ago and was disappointed that they were not as loud as the wireless. Like you I had completely forgotten about the BOOST procedure.

Scott wanted to reach out to you but do not have your email. So here it is ….. Here is the latest for the core. I reported that I had to send my machine in for issues. They sent me a new unit because of water droplets inside the pod! So today after a water hunt I was doing my routine clean up which I take the headphones out to clean them. After taking the headphones out I noticed a o-ring on the male side of the jack! So I started looking for where it came from. Well inside the pod is a o-ring groove. The o-ring was dry as a bone no dielectric grease to hold it in place. Which is a common practice in many applications. So I wanted to let you know to check your unit for a o-ring every time you install your waterproof headphones or any headphones with a jack! This may be the direct cause of the leaks in the pod. I reached out to a manticore group online and asked people to check their core to see if there was a o-ring installed. Some said no and some had no clue what a o-ring was. I also sent a email to Minelab detailing what I had observed.

Thresher headphones work great with the Manticore and the audio is very good without that setting in the water.

I loved older Minelabs, got tired of their poor quality, not repairing older detectors, leaking equinox, etc. The Manticore has my attention because it has large icons, easy to read, love the menu. If the Legend was like that, I would love it.

🤣😂😅 no worries.. just like the other day I was using my Equinox 900 on the beach at night.. and I was like....oh man, I totally forgot... this thing's got a flashlight! I've never turned it on since I owned it 🤣😂😂

Diving with a 2mm neoprene hood with the underwater boost on still isn’t loud enough . Next step is to cut some holes in the hood . Guess I’ve just been spoiled with the Xp bone conduction headphones . But I’ll keep trying because I did hit a chunky 14k ring 18” plus deep in area I have detected for years with every machine including the deus 2 .
