Ironic that AC Mirage doesn’t have mirages - but Origins does

I enjoyed Origins and Odyssey! Completing Valhalla side quests feels like doing house chores.

I gotta give it to Odyssey. That game stood out to me the most of the 4 and I had the most fun with it and preferred the story more

For me grafics and combat goes to Valhalla and open world to Odyssey and Origin, stewlth to mirag. Sorry but i love those finishers in Valhalla

Origins still rocks. Even though the details lax. But imagine if it just came out on PS5 today with the original root game play of AC games, It would smash!

All these games from Origins to Valhalla are made by a big studios with massive teams over 1k developers for production graphics and story with huge budget while in mirage it was a very small team of 200 developers whom had the ambition decided by themselves to do a standalone title that at least show love to the Original AC1 with the resources and assets they already have even though they were told to cut down their budget!!above that they tried to improve some stuff like the lighting and they also used way less filters and depended more on the natural colors and direct lighting of the environment so this alone need to give a praise for the team that decided to take pressure and create a project within only 2 and half years there are also some minor details that no one really talked about in AC mirage which is the carpets and pillows as well the clothes when basim stands on they do bend and for the fire when burning a haystack in the middle of the city people will gather looking at it and asking who did that adding to that if there are guards nearby they would come and try to search for the person if they found basim holding the tourch they would tell him to directly extinguish the fire and try to attack him… and BTW thank you for the comparison ❤❤

I think Origins perfectly introduced the new action-RPG gameplay with a great story and setting, but Odyssey perfected it as a whole with an amazing open world, ship combat, and the objective of killing the cult members. Valhalla was cool but it just didn't feel the same and it felt like they took a step back. I enjoyed the medieval England setting but that was about it. Never played Mirage. So Odyssey is my favorite but Origins is a close 2nd.

For me, Odyssey was the best. The graphics, the world details, the story, the characters, the gameplay and the controls were far away the best in it among the other AC games.

Origins is the best of all ubisoft games

Odyssey has been my favourite since i first played it back in 2020, but I also enjoyed Valhalla but particularly for the snow areas like Norway ect, Ancient Greece is by far the best map out of these these games can’t tell me otherwise.

I don't care how many details Valhalla has over Odyssey, Odyssey is the best AC game by far for me I don't even have words to describe the feelings I felt visiting Thermopylae and other amazing locations in ancient Greece. And I also love Vikings history and did some research because of Vikings tv show but I just didn't feel the same about Valhalla.

Origins. Anubis Armor. Ultima Blade. Game over. imagine wanting realistic footprints as a ' best game' qualifier.. that is just not what makes a game for me.

I play both these days and i love them. The depiction of medieval england with the saxons is great. I am thinking of buying the dlc's. There are so many beautiful things in the store.... pity i don't have helix credits.

Valhalla underrated masterpiece

At first play, Valhalla was nothing special, and as one dude said here, side quests were like house chores. Then I started new game, with hard settings. And at this point, Valhalla is No1 for me! I highly recommend you guys to give another go. Berseeker atleast and Master Assasin stealth awarnes level. You'll love it to, combat is amazing, stealths kills are quite challenging to execute! Also, choose "your fait" option to guide you with skill tree, spice the game a bit. Before tougher bosses, you can always adjuste your skill tree.

Odyssey felt really arcadey in its combat and the movement animations with running and walking just seemed really unnatural. I think the best in terms of quality in animation, graphics and scale have been Origins and Valhalla which were both made by Ubisoft Montreal. I actually feel like Valhalla got so much more hate than it deserved. Its got really good dip in dip out episodic style content that can keep you coming back for years. The best combat in terms of skill expression. At 1st people think Valhallas combat is clunky but thats early game when no skill points have been invested and the player themselves hasnt really worked out how to weave attacks, bow shots and abilities together rapidly. As the game goes on the depth of Valhallas combat reallly gets uncovered. And graphically Valhalla is just easily the most polished and has the best artwork. People say Valhalla has too much content. I think thats a baffling criticism. The dlcs are as big as standalone games which is great value for money. You've also got so many options of things to do. Feel like a river raid? Or tomb raiding? Or doing some roguelike play in Nilfheim? How about just some chilling out fishing while you listen to a podcast or something? I just cant understand why people dont see it as a good thing that they managed to fit so much Viking culture and mythology into the game and bring so much variety in things to do.

Odyssey is my favorite. Beautiful and unique Greece world with mythical creatures and old gods, good storytelling, some variabilities, fluid and enjoyable combat system. Possibility to create universal silent assasin (if use corresponding abilityes). Sea part is also nicely developed. I return into this game again and again. For me its one of the best action RPGs.

They all look great. I'm playing odyssey right now and that game just draws you in. The story is amazing. The conquest battles are fun. Haven't played mirage yet but I have it.

Odyssey for me since I'm a sucker for anything Greek mythology! Wish the dialogue was a bit better written but eh it's ubisoft so what can you expect right. I still gotta play Origins & Valhalla not so sure about Mirage though tbh.

Some of the comparisons seem bias, Mirage is a perfect blend between the old AC titles and the New AC open worlds. So the tweaks/physics will be different

Origins is just the sexiest of all of them. The locations are sooo exotic, especially Alexandria with its Greek/Egyptian architecture. Thematically the weapons, armour, music, atmosphere all come together in such a unit. It had the feel of a franchise revival entry, very focused direction. Bayek's voice actor was just amazing. Odyssey just has the most of everything and will please the most people. You could name it AC: Quantity and most would know which game you mean. Combat was incredibly fast and fluid, classes/perks all just worked and build options were plentiful and easy to switch. Many beautiful locations, but architecture didn't make my jaw drop until I got to Atlantis. Facial animations were a huge downgrade over Origins, but there was a lighter tone to the story, even hilarious at times which was a welcome change to the serious and sombre tone of Origins. Valhalla brought back that darker, serious, mystical tone of Origins in its story telling. You could tell it was the same team that made it. Much slower pace, but I almost burnt myself out on Odyssey and played the story/regions like seasons of a show pretty sparingly. Way better experience. Combat was weighty and vicious but the skill tree was horrible, not much reason to be anything but a warrior. The world had more to say but it also felt the most dead somehow. Like it had environmental storytelling and notes/lore of what occured but it all happened a while back and anyone to inform you about it is dead or had left.

I preferred the gritty art style of Origins and the pyramids were amazing to be able to explore. I love the Viking culture in Valhalla but the world wasn't as good. Odyssey though was my favorite overall. I'll never forget Kassandra and the experience of ancient Greece. Odyssey has a special place in my gamer heart like no other.

Origins and Mirage

Origins and odyssey are the best IMO. Odyssey being my favorite because you could do awesome builds then they go away from builds with Valhalla so much I didn’t even finish the game and never tried mirage just didn’t look interesting to me. I hope Red looks better

Loved these games, but I really think ubisoft messed up making the far worse female eivor canon. Female eivor is utterly awful. She looks stupid and sounds even worse. It takes me right out of the game and the story and it's frankly embarrassing, when the male evior is so damn good. Also, basim does have mirages. He can see his nightmare in the desert, and hallucinate flowers. Those are just two mirages I've seen.

Origins had so much attention to detail compared to the last few games.

I enjoyed Origins, Odyssey and even Valhalla. They all had their own strengths and weaknesses but great games overall Mirage though was so boring i couldnt even complete it despite how short it was

These games may not be the best but its damn impressive they all come out within 5 years, they're beautiful, some have phenomenal stories and writing and gameplay is really fun too!

Origins blows them all out of the water by full game experience. Bayek is an incredible character. The story is the best and the world is the best. Combat is still extremely satisfying and the dlc for the game was top notch.

The only AC games l played are Origins, Odyssey, and Mirage and platinum all three. I never got the chance to play Valhalla yet but l had the disc and brought the DLC. I’m going to play that one soon and try to platinum that game. :)

Its a nice video, but those details are not that important to answer which game is best. My list would be like this: Origins for the combat because most perks where really awesome and felt significant to the gameplay. Also there’s a vibe to that game that makes it gripping and dark. Odyssey for the world and Ship and I love the accent of the characters, and I like the amount of silly quests it has. Its genuinely made me chuckle a couple of times. The combat is super bland, and almost all perks are garbage gameplay wise. The only fun perk is the kick, and that makes you a god and totally bypasses any difficulty in the game. Archery perks are a joke (they all feel like you are turning auto aim) and assassins perks too (do you like teleportation) . Warrior perks are stupid too, especially the one called bull rush where you dive forward straight into the enemies cock. Hope you like sausages or steamy cod cake. Like a true Spartan I guess… Valhalla for the finishers and bloody aspect and the graphics, but the gameworld itself is incredibly mid. The whole village building aspect is kinda fun but underwhelming. For me, Im a gameplay first person, so, Origins is the winner for me. That game has a vibe, its brutal when you connect with the story too. Bro is taking no prisoners. And the perks where so good.

Hello guys! For nearly a decade I only played og AC games (all before origins) and hated the new type of AC games. A week ago I bought AC Odyssey on a sale for just like 17€. Played it and even tho much of the spirit of og ac is gone I actually like that you can go all in but also use stealth (I only use stealth and try to avoid big fights if possible). The world is just well done and especially the navy stuff is wild. Do you agree or not?

Origins for gameplay Odyssey for beauty of Ancient Greece Valhalla for its combat and finishers No matter what others say…. I simply love all those AC games….

What i'm getting from this video is that Ubisoft have actually removed a lot of stuff from Mirage that was in previous titles, like the hot weather effects or boat going on fire. A bit lame.

Odyssey, Valhalla, Origins. I also feel like lots of people prefer Origins over the other two not because it's better but because it's the first game of its kind with theme and vast exploration in AC series so there's lots of nostalgia associated with it

The Odyssey is one of the best parts! The world is alive! The scenery is magnificent, and most importantly there are bounty hunters!

Everything feels the same and bland in terms of the playground environment, and the customization is not upheld from its predecessors. Although, initially bring a fresh vibe with the release Assassin's Creed Origins. However, as time goes by, everything feels very monotone to me, and it is nothing different from playing any other ARPG game. It's as if everything is forced to align with competing games with similar samples. There are indeed some new combinations poured into it with a new mechanical approach for each series. However, unfortunately, all of that doesn't satisfy me to enjoy the game that originally brought the stealth formula, and this stopped me from pursuing all the achievements on Steam in all AsCreed Series that I initially planned. And with the return of the old formula in Mirage, it refreshes my old memories of playing Asc123. Although it feels sad, finishing it in a week feels like a relief.
